When I asked about it talking about my devices (iPad 3, iPhone 4S), he said that it should work acceptably well on an iPad 3, but that getting it to work well on a 4S might be stretching it a bit too much. When it's released, I'll buy it for my iPad 3 for sure (if it works on iOS 7.1.2, that is) and I'll try it on my 4S to see if it can be stretched to that limit Oops, saw this too late... Anyway, I guess that the limit will be set by 1GB RAM, right Josh?
Learning from No Man's Sky It looks very interesting Just one question, how do you think you've learned from No Man's Sky's mistakes, re: gameplay and keeping a record of events
Again, its not really a main inspiration for this game at all. While we do have procedural planets, there's a pretty big story component. The game's story focuses on Myrah Kale and her sidekick affectionately known as Kitcat (Meow.2 on the com) We have full voice acting and cut scenes. Originally we were planning on doing 7 planets as part of the main storyline but now its grown with the amount of upgrades and things we are doing. We're not sure on the final number of story planets. Also - as we've been working on this, some of our other inspirations are really floating to the surface. At the moment it feels like you took Metroid Prime, Star Wars, and Ratchet and Clank - put them in a blender (and added the procedural planet stuff) - tailored for mobile of course.
This sounds great. With this, Stellar Horizon and Asphalt 8, I have got all my gaming time covered, and I'll end up having to buy a new device for sure
I'm very excited for this game, I love the art style. The setting sounds like it's exactly my kind of thing. Please take your time and get it right, but not too long. Thanks for the many updates, Josh!
Is that a robot pug with a freakin laser mounted to its back? Brilliant! Will he be a pet or an enemy? Will there even be pets in the game?
