A few weeks ago, I noticed that Pangea had raised Bugdom 2's price to $7.99. I understand that this was a long term move.

But now, they have raised the price of both Billy Frontier and Nanosaur to the same price as Bugdom! I suppose Nanosaur is worth it, but Billy Frontier? That game has received a lot of bad reviews and negative press, they should keep it at around 2 or 3 dollars.

What do you guys think? Maybe arn should make a post about it.

  2. We've already discussed this ages ago here. I think most people would agree with your comments.

Billy Frontier is actually a lot of fun (not sure why there are negative reviews) but the developer has to be insane to charge 8 bucks for it.

Good reviews wont help their sales when their games are unreasonably priced, and their graphical style is an abomination to the 21st century, GET SOME NEW GODDAM TEXTURES!!

Pangea stinks. They abuse the price flexibility too much.

It's too muddy and low-res for my taste. Reminds me of 95ish games.

You guys need to remember that Pangea is Brian Greenstone. Not a bunch of dudes, just Brian.

He's probably seen the sales drop to a point that he put the game's up to a sane price so they can still get the few sales a day that they get. And now he can focus on some new games.

Btw, Bootant is abusing the price drops too and at a much more alarming rate than Pangea. It's just that they don't jump from $10 to $1 to $8.

That's because no one would pay so much for the Bootant games. Bootant offers demos for their graphic engines, Pangea games with content (with the execption of Billy Frontier).

Yes, but no one is yelling at them for abusing price drops the way they do at Pangea.

I just stopped buying stuff from them. That's better than yelling ;).

I stopped buying Pangea stuff after Billy Sh*T frontier. Also not impressed with them abusing (or yoyo-ing) the pricing like they did. For me, Pangea = crap.

After following 148apps.com more closely, I can safely confirm that Bootant is much worse than Pangea in abusing price drops.

It's taking 'yo-yo price' to a whole new level.

It's abusing updates, not price-drops. In that case, Fuzzle definitely tops the list :D
