Tack-Ass fun, but I hope the devs have the cajones to work Mohamed in the sequel!

Heck, it wouldn't even be that much of a stretch since he was a warrior!

Playing pocket god! Oh, and other games.

Not gonna say anything about my beliefs to anger the masses, but that's one darn good marketing method right there. Make something that can and will be taken as offensive to certain individuals, get publicity, win funds. I must say, I'm impressed. :D

But I don't really get why people are mad, if I saw His Noodliness with a gun I'd be thrilled! Oh wait. I wasn't supposed to mention my religion...

My point being that I'm all for satire of any and all religions and just am annoyed that while it is okay to joke on "Baby Jesus" and Tom Cruise's space God, "Elron Hubbard", we need to be oh so careful not to offend "Explosive Stabby" ones.

Well if it was a game where you play as Satan, killing Jesus' and stuff, that'd be offensive. But this is Jesus killing Satans. And that is just freaking awesome and everyone should understand that logic.

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Actually, I'm a pretty religious Catholic, and I found this concept to be hilarious. I literally laughed at the trailer. And honestly, it's Jesus taking down an evil group about to destroy the world. It's Jesus saving the world, albeit in a quite violent way.

That said, good luck with this! Hoping all goes well.

    WOW Mindfield!

Did you realize how deeply insightful that statement is for the REAL WORLD?
Esp. in the way you put it!!!

I applaud you for this one! :)

    @timo
    I LOVE this game already!

Side note: Personally, I´d avoid any direct mentioning of Jesus. It´s not that I would back off from a debate about freedom of expression, it´s just that I think it would be more FUN if it´s not right in your face and has the merit of giving those uptight people a void target. You know like "Life Of Brian". :D

You see people here already start taking Chris T. as an avatar of Jesus.

Yes, I guess that would be actually a problem since the depiction of the prophet is fordidden.

And acutally Muhammed was not a bad guy.
It would be the same as making Buddha or Zeus or Odin or Ra etc. some minions of HIM (the musician - not the other one ;) the first one really exist and is much more evil :D).

    I´d rather see a Muhammed-inspired Charakter as a second charakter / sidekick/ spin off!
But I think there would be not much in the looks to differentiate them from each other.
BTW: When I first saw the Pics of Moral Decay I thought it was a Taliban.

O and I forgot: the official Church of Satan is going to be REALLY offended by this game!

Thanks everyone :) Actually I made a bit of a mistake in the thread title. He's not really Jesus, he's Chris T, simply the son of man. But his imagery was obviously inspired from somewhere.

this might be a so-so game without jesus... but with jesus, this game is pure win lol

btw shown in the video, jesus' pose is a bit odd, and the action when he got hit is weird too

How about giving the charakter a eastern / hispanic name?

Jesus is a wide spread name until today.

On our last holiday in Spain Jesus, the housekeeper, personally took care of our bungalow swimming pool. We never got a funghi-infection back then. Thanks, Jesus.
