Well, it doesn't look too sexy...
And it's getting hard to please TD fans around.

Is there anything special about this one? I am always up for another TD, but I have gotten to the point where I want something new or innovative before I buy another one.

Thanks for the thread Devlishly Good, I wrote this game, the lite version has been submitted to apple for review so you can try it out in 5-7 days time. There have been some performance issues discovered in later levels, the FPS drops when theres alot of creeps on the screen, this has been fixed in 1.2 and An unlimited creeps/endurance mode will be added aswell (also submitted to apple available in 5-7 days).

Brief first impressions are favorable. A few tweaks would make this an excellant desktop defense clone. Work has been super busy today, so a full play and more comments will come tomorrow.

Yeah, I've only had a little bit to play with the game and it definitely reminds me of desktop defense.

    Initial impressions/commentary
-it would be cool if when we pressed and held on a gun's button, a little bit of info would pop up - gun name, creep type it targets, stuff like that
-the guns look very similar in appearance so there is some learning curve to remembering which gun does what, if they could look graphically more different...that would be cool...but then that is similar to desktop defense
-would like to be able to build while game is paused
-creeps start coming across the board before we really have a chance to start doing anything...so either let us build while paused or we have to tell the game to start sending creeps
-i like the graphics for the flame on the flamethrower gun and there is another one that makes really nice looking craters
-i like that we can drag the map around, but it is somewhat non-intuitive on switching between that and gun building
-the sound effects for the guns thus far have all been nice and crisp
