Ooh, such a tease! But hey the longer they take, the more levels and the more polished levels we get. So it's win-win for everyone

Very rarely does a game ever live up to the hype but this game is awesome! It really reminds me a lot of a game called Percepto. So much so that I had to check to make sure it wasn't made by the same developers. It's also got that mysterious mythical charm of Ico for the PS2, a favorite of mine. Highly recommended!

Wana play new levels? Then get ready to spend some more $$$. The upcoming update will feature new levels that can be unlocked using an in-app purchase.

Not a problem. I look forward to them. Some people think an app which they bought for a few dollars means they get new levels forever for free !

No problem as long as they don't turn it into a pile of dung like Spymaster.

Hi guys, just dropping by here to say hi, it's been a while :)

Even though we've not fully announced the new expansion with branding and screenshots, we are starting to talk about it. So I'll answer any questions you guys have here.

One thing that's important to remember is that with this upcoming content we're not simply churning out rehashed levels based off those found in the main game. They're created from the ground up with the same principles and individual art styles that the first bunch of chapters had, they also introduce brand new mechanics that you've not seen before.

The way we like to think about it internally is that they're more similar to a classic PC game expansion than a mobile "level update".

Because of this they've taken us a long time to craft, which also means that we have to attribute a cost to them. Hope this is ok with you guys.

    Looking forward to this.

Any confirmation if the amount of new levels matches to the total we had in the original game? Or do we get more?

We've got eight chapters in there at the moment, but they're all bigger than say the first few chapters in MV. It's essentially the same amount of game again.

And the cost? I don't mind any price since it's worth it, but the wait is killing me.

Has it definitely been confirmed that the dlc/expansion is paid? (Source?) because I seem to remember them saying they would try and keep them free? (Maybe I imagined it)

UsTwo said a few posts ago about charging.

    You didn't imagine it.

On the early pages of this thread they said they'd consider making new levels if the game didn't bomb, on page seven they say they'd like to keep some extra content free, so it was kind of hinted at that extra content would be paid back then with the hope of some being free. That was before any levels had been thought up let alone started development, more a thinking out loud type of thing, so can totally understand why they'd not be able to offer free content.

Not sure but I think it was written somewhere that the update will be free.

Sorry for those not aware, this is us the developers :)

Our original plan back when the game released was to be able to create a certain number of levels possibly free, with the rest being a paid upgrade. However to do this meant splitting up the extra content into individual chunks for different delivery methods.

Part of the reason the main game works so well is that we can guarantee everyone has access to all chapters and also almost guarantee players will play through in it's entirety. It's this method that causes people to talk about how meaningful and succinct the game is and we really wanted to preserve that.

I can say however that this expansion will not be priced at the same point as the game.

I'm willing to pay for more levels as well. So... bring it on!
