Yep game of the week for me, FTL is tempting but i'm not keen on ipad only games. But this, damn, loving it. Something quite different to most ios games i play, variety is great on iOS. Would love more more more !
I should hope so! Epoch2 was the biggest drainer I've ever experienced! So can you compare it to Threes to put it in a ballpark?
Yes I am reluctant to play that one on the go, only while is plugged. Threes! has bigger consumption, I starting playing Threes! when it released and I was alarmed when I got out of the first session, but this one, I played it almost entirely yesterday and no big deal. Didn't even thought about it until you mentioned it.
I was a beta tester. It seems they've taken out a lot of cool levels. The cube one, the totempole things. The beta was a short experience, but this seemed even shorter. Am I missing something?
Honestly, I think the beta was a way better game. It had a very heartfelt moment with the totempole. A moment where you felt sad. I would love to hear from the developers why they cut so much out. I loved the beta.
This seems strange, the full release has everything from the beta versions and more, nothing was cut. Can you contact our QA guy over email and we'll sort it for you: [email protected]
Just played the early couple of levels. Man, this game looks good enough to eat. Design wise, it's a masterpiece.
Be prepared to invest some more... There was no question that I was buying this. I've been waiting for months to play this, checking in on ustwo's twitter every so often, which turned into every day the past couple weeks. No regret whatsoever, it's wonderful. Took me 90 minutes to finish, playing intentionally slowly, admiring each building and twisting staircase unfurling. It's difficult to not leave you wanting more, given how amazing everything is. It does almost seem like a disservice to the game itself to not be more fleshed out with playable content. The concept is just too creative and rich and open to more challenging possibilities to stop where it did, which was just getting into some level design that required genuine planning and observation. There's some insanely cool buildings like chapter 8, although progressing through them was a bit pedestrian. So to read that more content is a possibility is very exciting to me. But to see the asterisk on that, is honestly a bit disappointing and makes me hope the game sells so well they don't have to charge further.
I have bought but not played yet, 90 minutes is a downer for the price and I was told in an earlier post by a "beta tester" it took three days to complete!!! After someone else mentioned it took them 90 minutes My main problem will be if the game is that good and it's over so quick it will simply feel like an anti climax. Maybe I'm wrong but certainly hope more content will be made available in the not too distant future GaZ
It took me 3 days to beat it. I swear it. Played it every time I could. 90 minutes is for the sharpest of minds for sure...
To be fair, with all these times of how long it takes to complete, I've been playing Threes since it was released and can't get past 192. A combination of not being able to sit down for an hour or more at a time. I'm certain this game will take more longer than 90 minutes to complete. But the fact I'm depressed about completing it and haven't even got past level 3 just tells me how good it is. I'm keeping an eye on the charts. Want to see this game top them. Hoping Apple make it editors choice.
Chapter 8 atm...is this only until chapter 10? Im intentionally slow playing it coz chapter 10 just aint enough. Love this game
Gorgeous game! Really...even if it's 90 minutes total play time (it's likely longer for "most" of us) it's worth the money. The dev deserves the payday and we need to make sure this sort of game is rewarded in order to ever bring an end to the freemium garbage...
About 90 minutes here too. I bought it last night at 10pm CST and had finished before midnight. While the puzzles were too easy it is an absolutely beautiful game. I am an artist to begin with so the "Imposible Object" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impossible_object) architecture of the game appeals to me. I will play through again I am sure. I will also pass on to my kids. I look forward to more levels in future updates. Ultimately, I see this more as an interactive set of art pieces rather than a full blown game.
