Use Pandora box or AppSniper. Appshopper is slow and inconvenient compared to those two apps. It's useless except for when you don't have your iPhone with you, of course.
I don't even get that many apps. On average, I only get like 1 app every two and a half weeks. Just don't go on an app-shopping spree. Look carefully at the things you get.
I did not think that there is a Pandora Box for PC. I thought it was only on the iDevice. For iDevice Pandora or Bargain Bin. For PC I think that the best option is App Shopper. Is there a better one for PC / MAC?
lol, at this point it's already too late. (at least for me) I've been surprised by a few iTunes bills doing this, especially when I first got my Touch. Now, I've (mostly) got my spending binges under control. *sigh* If only you could delete the App Store icon off your iDevice... To answer the question, if I keep it around $30 for music and apps, I'm happy.
I have about $40 to spend on the App Store per week, but that's assuming I don't eat anything at all in school.
I love app shopper. Especially now that it has added email notification for games in your wish list which went on sale. AppSniper was too buugy for me and crashed very often. I have never really compared how fast it was agains appsniper and pandora box, But that hardly matters as most apps go on sale atleast for a day or two. SO even if it takes an hour or two, it still is very much usable IMHO. Definitely better than app sniper.
At a dollar or so an app... I don't really budget at all... I justify it by saying I'll buy one less round of drinks at the bar this weekend... or something along the lines "this cost .99, that burger i got for dinner was $8... so i should eat in more" etc, etc. At .99... its almost like it doesn't cost anything. But after a quick tally, I've spent rougly $29 on 34 apps (some free of course) in the past 8 months of owning a touch. Not bad. But I'd say $20 is in the last month... my interest is definetly growing - I just signed up for these forums - I would imagine I will be probably spending much more. Currently considering Sea Captain and Eliss... both @ .99. Just bought Wordfu, Toki Tori and iFitness. Will probably jump into Real Racing and Rolando 2 after their first price cuts to $6 or so...
Since I don't have any money and I occasionally get iTunes gift cards i'm very careful about spending. $1 apps have popped up that have stolen my money. I have $17 left. I'm watching and waiting for other big apps that might come out in the next month or 2. There are a few big apps I want but i'll wait.
Patton - So I went sort of crazy this weekend. Picked both Sea Captain and Eliss. Both of them are really fun games. Check the threads on Eliss for the video. I initially deleted the lite because I had no idea how to play. Once you get it - a truly great concept game that for me is really unique. Sea Captain, like Harbor Master and Flight Control, and Draw Race are just great deceptively simple games. You can't go wrong with any of them. Another "no budget" weekend for me.
