If I am reading the App Store description right, it seems like partly another genre, but the launch trailer looks rather similar to Legendary Wars. Controlling monsters requires a more hands-on approach, perhaps? (I never played much of Legendary Wars after buying it, but it was a very nice game indeed, polished and full of content, and I had quite a lot of fun while I did play. Enough that I might just play Legendary Wars again, if Monster Wars should happen to be very similar.) Unfortunately we did most of our testing for ios 5 with icloud, but we did test with 4.35 and iphone 4 and it worked. If you update to IOS 5, it will work just fine. the good news is we submitted and update that will fix this issue~ hopefully you can update because the game goes full swing after world 1 Liv Games Well-Known Member Jan 25, 2011 548 1 0 Founder, CEO Liv Games USA #33 Liv Games, Jan 31, 2012 Hi, Just a few things that are different: 1. Different lands with stage obstacles. New world to explore, 25%-30% longer campaign. 2. double the amount of monster to upgrade, new units and specials at tier 3, catapults 3. New hack and slash action, big war, catapult siege and levels and bonus stages 4. New bosses, story from the monster perspective etc. 5. Improved features and control (wider lanes, miners retrieve gems to the crypt etc). 6. Universal with iCloud support for device sharing. 7. Soul challenges and new bonus modes 8. lots of surprises. we try to introduce something new every 2 to 3 levels to keep the game fresh It's only 99 cents, so we think its worth it! But yeah, this does indeed sound like an expanded experience. For some reason, I never found myself playing Legendary Wars beyond the first few tries, even though it is a lovely game. Perhaps Monster Wars will provide whatever hook LW lacked to keep me playing. I could probably use a real-time diversion from all the excellent TBS games that have found their way onto my device during the last months gogokodo New Member Jan 28, 2010 3 0 0 Video game developer Edmonton http://www.fancyratstudios.com #35 gogokodo, Jan 31, 2012 The game is quite similar in most gameplay but it's definitely worth it. There are a lot more units and upgrades and some new game play types too. For only 0.99 you should definitely try it out. ArtNJ Well-Known Member Jul 13, 2009 3,212 29 48 New Jersey #39 ArtNJ, Feb 1, 2012 I wasted 10 minutes on 1-8 before reading this . . . come on guys, lots of people arent on 5.0 yet. The controls do seem to have improved a lot from when I gave Legendary Wars its initial play time, but what I still dont like about these games is that in the name of variety, there are a number of levels in Legendary Wars that are reflex or gimmick based levels. 1-8 in Monster Wars is like this. Basically, I think these levels are an example of trying to hard -- I appreciate the effort, just not necessarily the result. Apart from these levels though, it seems like with the improvements in controls this will be another top notch example of the genre -- once it works! awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #40 awp69, Feb 1, 2012 Don't want to be a whiner (as I generally can't play about 3/4 of the big releases now a days and just have learned to accept that technology moves on), but just out of curiousity -- aside from the iOS version -- why is there a 3GS minimum? While there's obvious background differences and new units, the assets and graphics don't seem like they are that much different from the original. Only asking because I love the first game and it plays nice and smooth on my 2G. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
