I like how they put a redacted in the article. ;D
    This is pretty Exciting!

This might be a really silly question, but is that “redacted” some kind of meme or something in the game?

No, not that I know of. I assume they used it because they don’t know the devices specifics yet (iOS/ android) models & software. I am also thinking they might try to release both the ios and android versions at the same time, which could explain why they used a redacted as a place holder to make sure both can in fact be released at the same time.

Edit: They could also just be joking around with some of the players. Since in an earlier article they announced a special mobile version for the Chinese Market with no global announcement and a bunch of players where making a huge stink out of it. It could be a poke at them.

Awesome! Monster Train is one of my favorite roguelike deckbuilders. It's up there with Slay the Spire.

Crossing my fingers -- but not holding my breath -- for portrait orientation support on iPhone!

I’m really just crossing my fingers for cloud saves this time (looking at you slay the spire).

I hope this is not just another Galactic Keep "carrot-dangler" that goes on for years.

Getting a little annoyed about no updating / ghosting on the devs part now, nearly 5 months later….gahhhh why does it have to be so secretive.

Never heard of this before, is it really as good as slay the spire? Also anyone know much about that developer? Can’t say I’ve played any of their iOS games to have a guess at if it’ll be a good port or not.

But definitely looks and sounds really good, I’ll have to lookup more about it.

Monster Train imho is just as good as StS. It has a unique take on the genre that is really fresh. An enjoyable experience that I am sure I already have over 100 hours played on different devices. I will definitely be picking this up for mobile. Enjoy.

Has there been any word if the iOS save game is cross platform with PC version?
They mentioned several cross platform support but nothing about iOS.

I think I have seen that it will not be cross iOS to anything else, and no answer on a question about iCloud, probably meaning not that either, which is a real shame. Would love to be able to switch between iPhone and iPad, but it’s looking like the save will be local only.

I can deal with no cross platform but not being able to switch between iPhone and iPad really stinks.

No iCloud or cross platform? Personally I’m
Not bothered about cross platform but no iCloud makes me think the game is an afterthought for iOS that they don’t really care about and will rot with no updates after release other than for major bug fixes.

Games like Stardew Valley and Slay the Spire didn’t have iCloud at launch. Didn’t make them any less of a game. I’m sure features like iCloud and cross platform cost a fair amount, knowing Apple. And some publishers, understandably, are not willing to spend that much.
