A free game that is a 1.0 mb download = low expectations

No game screens on the iTunes page either.

Curious... but not downloading... too many apps...

The nerve of them calling this game Monster Hunter!!! There is only one game worthy of that name and Capcom has it on lock...This really rubs me the wrong way...

Frickin' awesome username... ٩๏̯͡๏)۶ (I did indeed copy and paste ;))

And yeah, me too. I was thinking maybe I could get a sweet taste of what the PSP offered... my dreams have gone bye-bye.

i guess TOFTT applies if you waste time on the download, etc. if it's terrible.. "time is money" ;)

but ok, i got it and you basically just start on a road looking at a mummy and he's throwing something at you. You use tilt controls to move left/right, and tap to shoot stuff back at him. Then a ufo comes along and picks him up, and the next enemy appears,

doesn't seem to be a pause/save/menu anything... but i've only played for about a minute. will edit if i'm not too lazy

[edit] LOL when you die, there is a menu button that appears, it takes you back to a screen that just has PLAY on it that you can click to play again. :p

my computer is not liking me lately or id try to post some screenshots, maybe someone else will post some

yeah the games does look pretty horrible. so i guess there is the chance his eyes might start to bleed or gets thrown into some sort of violent conniption fit that makes him stammer as he spouts out incomprehensible epithets. then i guess it is TOFFTing. so to him i say "good journey little hiawatha. fare thee well, tiny warrior."

This is the review I left on the appstore:

"I am a sucker for the kind of graphics on this game. That being said, there is not a lot of gameplay here.

    To the developer:

The sound design, and graphic design are spot on for me. The controls are responsive even on my aging 1G touch.

The menu should be populated with game instructions, options to turn the sound on and off, highscore, etc.

Also consider an option to rotate the screen for left and right handed folks.

It is sometimes hard to distinguish which are your projectiles, and which the monsters.

This is the beginning, it could be great."

Before my inbox fills with flames...

I appreciate when developers attempt to get into the platform. There is a significant time and resource commitment, without a certainty of return.

I hear it about the name issues, I dislike it when devs do this to mislead. In this case I am giving the dev the benefit of the doubt since the game was posted free, without a description talking about "for a limited time before it goes to $25,000..."

And I actually do like these kinds of cartoony graphics...

One thing this is is a great kids game, plus what kid wouldn't like to throw dog doody at monsters...
