Rare dens. Use a finding charm to +50% chance of them spawning. There is a prayer pot beside the quest board in Hakum Village, use that to activate the charm. Then enter Blossom Row and rare dens should appear, if you don’t see any then leave the area (eg go back to Hakum Village) and re-enter Blossom Row. Pro tip: keep leaving and entering until you can see at least 3 rare dens upon entering, then save the game so you can keep using those 3 dens to find the monstie you want.
Question 1 How-to get Gene in exact Channeling slot position Let’s say I want to have E. Congalala Gene on my upper left corner of 9 opened slots; farming a E. Congalala with exactly gene with exact slot position, is that possible? Question 2 what is the recommendation monster for post game and its build? Many thanks
@squarezero @TicTac (ty for the MP) Found the issue ! the issue was ... me *shame* (GoT version) I changed icon orders, and kept the demo version of the game on the phone.... sooooo ... i was launching the demo version instead of the game itself.... Backed up my real save and deleted MH Begins *hiding in the tiniest hole, or in an egg.*
If anyone manages to find these recipes please take a screenshot and let me know where you found them. 1) Power bead (probs in Darj Snowfields) 2) Torrential bead (Dovan Volcano mine path) 3) Water bead (?) Currently there isn’t a guide for the exact location of these recipes unlike the Poogies, it’s been very frustrating so any help would be appreciated! Edit: found the torrential bead it’s in Dovan Volcano switch yard not the mine path. And just found out that water bead comes from torrential recipe. Edit 2: Found it! Fly is needed for that power bead in Darj Snowfields. Only left with one award (collect all genes) now! That’s going to take forever...

Does combat ever get better than RPS as the tech, power, speed being your only options is the only reason I keep not wanting to buy this game? It feel way too barebone for someone used to traditional turn based RPGs.
It’s been a little while, but the combat system does gain more depth as you play with different monster combinations, mix genes, and develop special abilities. Ultimately, though, the emphasis is on exploration, monster collecting, and storytelling. Personally, I’m not that into complex combat systems — they always have whiff of desperation from developers who couldn’t make the rest of the game enjoyable. My gauge is simple: it I lose a battle, I want to be able to try different tactics and succeed. I get bored if the only thing I can do is grind. By that standard, MHS was just right for me.
Maybe that’s because I’m just 25 but the large amount of options in RPGs like old school FF is what made them fun to me, even if yes it do end up as constant ultima spam eventually as it kill everything, lately I’m increasingly a fan of strategically driven jrpgs where weaknesses and buffs/debuffs matter(SMT/Persona) as it mean no fight can be won by spamming your strongest move like in Pokémon.
