Log of last night's online hunts Just wanted to post a quick summary of our online questing last night. In the end it was just Kylie87 and me. Communicating was not so simple: switching between the toucharcade private messaging and the in-game chat while experiencing disconnections... We did two slaying small monsters quests and took on the Khezu in the snowy mountains. It was fun. A question: when a disconnection occurs, does it usually involve a single hunter? in this case, the single hunter ends up continuing the quest alone and the others continue without him, is that right? It's either that or the server disconnects and every single hunter is on its own. Another question: then when the quest ends you get back to a guild hall. The other hunters may or may not be listed (they are probably not). The single hunter should disconnect and connect back to the guild hall to join the others again. Is that right? This worked for us but I wonder if it is the same for everyone else. -- EDIT L. Lawliet's message partly answers my first question:
Ahh sorry I couldn't make it to your hunts Kylie and Cooltea. My wifi died today and I had so many important things online scheduled I lost them all because of Comcast (this partially fuels my reason for hating online only solo-play games). Some ebay bidding, contests, recording sessions, etc were all scheduled today. I ran around the entire day looking for new wifi and things didn't work out. Hopefully we can play next time. When it disconnects you, you stay fighting the monster. It never throws you out of the game. So essentially every hunter will be facing the monster solo. As for the guild hall I'm not too sure. I guess I would say sometimes you reenter with your teammates, sometimes you don't. Usually if you disconnected you don't so you'd have to try to rejoin with the same room number. I hope that helped!
Just tried the HR7 khezu quest again solo, man that thing has a ton of HP! already lost to him twice in a row due to running out of time
Yes it was fun indeed! Those were my first online quests but cooltea was a good mentor. It's nice to have some other hunters with you if you want to learn a move set of a specific monster. Never fought Khezu before and now I have a good impression and know how to take him solo...even though it's much more fun to play with some fellow Hunters. Don't worry I think we can repeat that in the near future! Thanks for the clarification. I didn't pay attention tonight but is it correct that the money-reward is divided between the hunters?
