I second this. I started with Tri. My first impression was Why is this popular? It's ugly, drab, the dialogue is almost insulting, and I have to harvest mushrooms. And then I got to a boss fight and got crushed. Tried different weapons and eventually won, skinned him, made him into a hat and turned his bones into a hammer. Maybe it's the challenge, or the sight of the monster that's been chewing on you turning tail and running away, but yeah it's fun, better than the first impression would have you believe.
Does the multitasking work? When I exit the app and then reopen it, even for a split second, it reloads the opening screen and the menu again, is it normal? :/
Sorry to hear that you had the wrong expectations. But going in for something without knowing what it is (especially a $15 app from the appstore) is pretty, for lack of a better word, dumb, and sure to waste your money.
Depends on the app you multitasked it with. For my emails, skype, TA app and even Boson X, i could get back into MH pausing from where i left off. It may also be depending on how much multitasking buffer the device can handle. Im sporting the air, so that hardware setup might be a factor.
Thanks... First iteration of the Hermitaur GS. You should be able to acquire it as soon as the Conga quest becomes available as well.
I remember Gamespot reviewers giving MHF2 a HORRIBLE score in their review, but eventually gave a glowing score when MHFU (which was a standalone expansion of MHF2) hit, in which a lot of the user base of MH made fun of them for that. I think they were done by different reviewers though, so that was that.
For one, Felyne chefs. The food you get from the kitchen can get you some HP. As for items, there are Ancient potions (maxes out your HP and Stamina totals on use), and Max Potion (maxes out HP on use).
Hey you high-rank guys, Is there genprey plate and waist armor? All I have avaliable is the head, gauntlets and legs. I do have the genprey 'body' available for crafting though (the one that gives you fate points)
You don't have to play all the tutorials at once. You can go fight at an online hall. Come back and play tutorials from time to time. It took me a while to get into this game too. But now I'm 15 hours into it just in two days.
@EP Can you post a video on the Last Invitation quest with the 2 super saiyans using a bow? I'm on the 8* Nekoht quest and still couldn't take them down. Also the King Shakala, he does a TON of damage for his size! And is also quite difficult to hit
There are i think 5 ways you can do that. You can use Nutrients by combining a godbug and blue mushroom iirc, mega nutrients by combining nutrients and honey, max potions which is a mega nutrient and a dragon toadstool, an ancient potion or through the felyne kitchen which iirc is eating meat+meat or meat+milk
@Mene I've adjusted pretty well to the controls now- I don't have too much trouble with my surroundings now. I've started using the monster lock on now and that's really nice, except I keep disabling it accidentally. It's annoying having to take one hand off the important controls to activate it again. @Varo I'm pretty jelly right now. Also, am I the only one that thinks that the and monsters look derpy as hell? When I first saw the fins I thought it would be like the MHTri sand-dolphins, but then it jumped out of the sand and I was like '...is that...did CAPCOM...is this for real?'
That's a great point! It's almost as if the game has been purposely created to seperate the wheat from the chaff right from the off!!
Guys i recommend you taking a look at this to help with the game and in beating those beasts: Monster weakness guide: http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/57318 This is the ingredient combo list: http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/57039 From Gamefaqs
Has anyone tried playing this on an ipad 2? Could it maybe work, or is it definitely not going to run? As a PC/ipad only gamer, I as really looking forward to playing this finally Thanks!
