Just crafted an iron katana and most of my first armor set. All told, about 3-4hrs of play and it's starting to all fall into place. Not super crazy about the controls, but it's still a ton of fun
So are you all playing this with a controller? I went back a few pages to see. I've played pleeeeeenty of MH but I'm incredibly scared to try this on my 5s with touch controls. I'd easily shell out $15 if it's doable (later hunts and such)
I'm not using a controller and so far 0 problems with the controls. Heck, the camera controls are way better than on the PSP here. Yes.
The controlls are perfect with the controller! Seriously, they need to bring more MH games to ios. The controls are amazing without the contoller and are perfect with one!
It says if you delete data you will lose your saved game. So if you upgrade phones you will lose data? So there is no icloud saves? What if you had an iPad? New phones around the corner so just wondering if it's worth starting all over. I mean if there is no icloud save and your not able to move saves to upgraded devices a game that can take 200+ hours of fun and good times to upgrade your equipment will go down the drain. Any thoughts?
I played my first online round on MHFU and I enjoyed a lot.The fun that I have with this game is enormous.
You can use iFunbox to copy the save data from one device to another. All you have to copy to the PC and then to the other device is the Documents folder of this app.
I'm new to this game so I just need some pointers now and again if anyone can find the time. So far I'm enjoying it heaps but am having difficulty path finding. So say I get given a quest to gather herbs. Where do I go? I looked and looked and in the end had to google it which is not ideal. Do you just have to look everywhere in nooks and crannies or is there a compass or a mark on the map to direct you? How do you identify monsters? Do you just tap on them and get a description? I haven't had any quests to kill any yet but can't tell one from another. Can you just go out and kill as much as you want to accumulate wealth? Thanks in advance.

The game progresses at your own rate. You won't get an item you need right away just by killing a monster. Careful gathering goes a long way. Between 11 different types of weapon, each with about 40-50 weapons each, you're looking at a huge amount.
Your "class" is solely determined by the weapon, as each have a complete different movesets. As far as skills go, most are passive from your armor. Some are automatically on, while others need certain conditions (ie. HP under a certain amount).
Don't worry, I started reaaaallly slow. Please don't think that that was the game's fault. This is my first MH game, so I don't really know what I'm doing.

re gathering herbs, you have to look for them per sector in a map. the last herb is at area 8 mountain pass. there is a small path where you can crawl under to get to it. monsters are identified using the reference and you can buy books from the trader which tell you about them. they can also be identified by what you carve from them ie GENPREY hide, BLANGO pelt, etc no you don't. I'm on a non jailbroken 5S and i transfer my savedata all the time.personally, i use diskaid
MHFU ios Hi I am new to this whole forums thing but I've been playing Mhfu recently and have noticed that it's quite hard to get into a lobby nowadays due to ppl playing privately or not enough people online.
