After playing this game again I still think that the Bulldrome should have been the first "boss" instead of the Giadrome. It's way easier and less annoying.
the hell is wrong with you? you honestly believe, and i'm speaking entirely rationally here, that this game deserves one star because of a lack of cloud transfers? you even called it "outstanding" in a more recent post. i'm not seeing your logic here. christ, what're you, eight? i'm surprised you didn't "wait for a sale" or some shite. people like you are holding the mobile market back immeasurably. just reading that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. i'd understand docking A star for imperfection, but four? you're putting this game in the same vein as the broken trash that the app store's so constantly polluted with because, god forbid, you can't play on your multiple devices (and somehow can't afford even a cheap computer-"Not all of us have a computer to transfer files"- in spite of your multiple apple devices. this side of the mobile gaming audience really makes me sick sometimes. buncha spoiled, entitled, cheapskate children.
This is my first monster hunter as I missed out on Tri for the wii and other releases back in the day, have to say it's really fun and a challenge to learn what to do exactly, it's a complex game when you think about it. Good fun and I love the online part, chat could be a little better and show up as you run around.
Knocked out several training quests, do you guys recommend doing them all before going to gathering hall quests? (I've never played any monster hunter). I'm in love btw, and may not see sunlight for 72 hours
No all iOS games have iCloud. It isn't a required standard in producing a game. Games like KOTOR and TWD didn't include iCloud saves at launch. Looking at other Capcom games like Phoenix Wright and Ghost Trick, they also don't have iCloud. Basing your assumption that they will include it based on a 1 star review is ignorant.
He probably scored KOTOR, XCOM: EU, TWEWY, EPOCH.2, TWD, Shadowgun, Dead Space iOS and The Room 1 & 2 1-star too
it's like watching a kid nearly out of infancy kick his feet in the air and scream hysterically until his parents buy him the largely-irrelevant-to-the-quality-of-his-life piece of candy he wants i can't tell if it's more disheartening or amusing i just feel like capcom shouldn't be on the butt end of these dopey, low-blowing attempts at influencing the course of their development decisions
You seem pretty upset. I can't stand computers and would not waste my $ on one but I love my apple devices. I'm not even close to being a child. I was stating my opinion and if you don't like it then your gonna have to find a way to live with that. I didn't come here looking for an argument and maybe I am a little ignorant but I believe cap on was a little ignorant also. It is a great game (always has been). I was never spoiled as a child but I do tend to spoil myself now. Now to decide what to play my MH on, iphone or ipad. Probably iphone since I can't carry my ipad everywhere
you're damn right i'm upset i'm upset to see that the potential for more games like this one being released on ios is dwindling with every sappy, blathering flea that rolls around, feeling that the lack of a single feature's worth putting a red flag on the game in its entirety for if you loathe computers and choose not to spend money on one, power to ya, but that's going to mean that there are going to be conveniences you'll be cut out of. i'm the same way, i love my ipod to an irrational extent, and the only reason i bought a garbage laptop was to back up ipod files onto it. i really scarcely ever use it for any other reason. it would've been cool if capcom included cloud saving, but for now, it hasn't been implemented. and that's it; hopefully they'll add it in the future, but that's no reason to presently, deliberately misguide fellow consumers with shoddy reviews, which could only have a negative impact on sales, and subsequently, lead to less titles like this one in the mobile market. an email to capcom was a step in the right direction, but to attempt to hold them at gunpoint with a crap review is childish and outright idiotic. also, on a less animated note, i'd say iphone's the way to go, for the convenience of it, for sure, and also because the controls are comfortable regardless of platform. to be honest, i've always been a little less comfortable with the spacing of ipad controls, though it's never really been too huge an issue, but that's just me
It should be noted, despite the lack of icloud save, this game was literally built the ground for iOS devices, the fact that it doesn't have Sqaure Enix warning about A5 devices clearly indicates that. This is the least crash happy game out of all the 3D games I currently have on my 4s. I'm pretty sure the developers spent quite a bit of time porting this over and implementing icloud was probably overlooked so like many developer currently in development. I'm guessing Capcom is waiting for the sale figures to determine whether adding icloud support would be beneficial for them in the long run.
i'd say sword and shield makes a great all-around starting weapon, and then branch off from there (or not) depending on the play style you either prefer or want to shoot for
I agree. A 1 star review due to no iCloud saving is ridiculous. Lots of iOS games don't have iCloud saving. Are all these going to be 1 star reviews as well ?
I don't necessarily agree with the one star but do agree that it would be great if universal games do include support for transferring files between multiple devices such as the iPhone & iPad since I believe many of us have both devices and having to choose which game to play on which device especially for RPG or other games that have significant gameplay length is challenging and annoying. How great would it be for all universal games to allow us to go from one device to antiger seamlessly and quickly!
a couple popular two-handed weapons are hammers (which a lot of players use to finish hunts relatively quickly with) and great swords (which are swords that are often nearly the size of the hunter him or herself and rely more heavily on using the attack that drawing the blade initiates, and rely a little bit more on where on the blade you connect with the monster) those two also do different types of damage, but i think hammers are a better two-handed beginner's weapon, since they're a little less methodical (or at least i think so, though i'm not super up-to-snuff on the ins and outs of hammers as much) and have a kickass spinning attack a really popular two-handed and arguably the best to start out with would be the long sword, which has good reach and maneuverability, and fantastic combo potential once the player fills up the "spirit gauge," which increases with each consecutive attack until staying full for a while (and allowing for some very powerful combo sequences) there are also a few different types of ranged weapons, heavy and light guns (or bowguns, as they're called) and a bow-and-arrows. another fun one is the lance, which has a charging attack that's always made me feel like a train, haha, and a gunlance, which is a heavier lance with some short-ranged shelling abilities (think an extremely short-ranged shotgun that you can stab things with) my personal favorite weapon have always been the dual swords, which attack quickly but rely on quick evasive maneuvers (because of a lack of a blocking option) and lots of whetstones to keep their blades sharp with when out on on hunts this page'll give you a much better idea of each weapon than i could though, haha:
