Go to a gathering quest and deliver the ticket. Go to the farm and get all the honey. Rinse and repeat.
Actually what i do when im watching tv: 1. Town farm - bomb mine 2. Town farm - bug tree 3. Town Farm - Trenya (if i have the points to send him to 1000-point spots) 4. Town Farm - dung 5. Town Farm - beehive 6. Kitchen - meat+veggie (with max number of chef cats) 7. Take 5* elder dual gypceros quest and complete in 2 mins. 8. repeat. This way, i get the most important hard-to-find bugs and ores, maximize honey harvest, and get lots of power extracts which can be combined to make mega juice which is one of the best consumables in the game. I pretty much skip the manual mining, bug catching and fishing. For dual gypceros, i can do it that fast because of the G-rank equips. Back when i didnt have G-rank equips yet, the fastest way i did it before is with fire DS or with velociprey claws, and devil dance all the way. I use mega juice here, since this mission pays for itself anyway. Takes less than 10 mins to complete the quest.
Hey to those who played the original freedom unite on psp how are the hitboxes in this one in comparison. I hear a lot about them being broken in the old game but I haven't played the old one so I cannot compare.
Pretty much the same. As for hitboxes, only Plesioth gets those complaints. His hipchecks and his tail swipes can hit you without actually any of his body parts touching you. The hitboxes are fine with the other monsters.
yeah, there have been claims that the hitboxes are broken since the game's initial release, and it does ring true to some extent (like you said, plesioth's got a lot of invisible hitbox points, and some monsters' tails seem to hit you from slightly farther than they can actually physically lash out), but to be honest, the hitboxes aren't as broken as a great deal of the internet'll have you believe, or at least i've never been particularly bothered by them. there are a few points here and there that you'll feel like you just took a beating from a monster's thigh gap, but it's not too prominent an issue and there's generally a way around most monsters' attacks, occasional hotbox issues and all
Man! EP, your knowledge about this game is impressive. Did you learn most of it by yourself or with the help of the wikia?
I was following you until you got to step 7 ... lol. No G equips for me. We need to play together soon! Btw, what's the best way for bomb mining? I don't want to use expensive bombs (that I have trouble making) each time. Any tips for that?
Anyone knows when this game will come out? I know it came out already on japan but when will be in America? Btw, how do you guys are playing? Using the Japanese version I presume?
No one knows when it's coming to America. Hopefully it will be here this Thursday, but that's just my optimism. Most of the people in this forum are playing the JP version with an English patch. Mojorising, who writes for Slide to Play sometimes, got a copy of the finished English version and has been playing around with it since last week, which makes me think that it's coming out this week.
2500 hours on the PSP version served me well i guess, so i came prepared when the iOS version came out. The wikia is missing some stuff, and some of the carve guides were innaccurate if i remember correctly. I hope that was fixed since that time. I was one of the minor contributors to reign-of-the-rathalos.com before, so back then i was a little dependent on that site. It has a mirror right here, but im not sure how complete it is since Fresh basically just transferred all the data it seems. EDIT: Was checking the RotR mirror site to stroll down memory lane and noticed some of the spreadsheets are missing. Even the weapon calculator isnt working. EDIT2: removed the link. Tis too incomplete to be useful in the long run.
I dont recommend bomb mining til you hit at least high rank. Not worth spending resources for bombs only to get more low level materials. Manual mining should suffice. In G-Rank the value of bomb mining using LBB+ skyrockets coz of the quality and quantity of the yield.
Today i found out the hard way that it's much more difficult to lance a Garuga than lancing a Monoblos (both red and white). Maybe i just cant find the right openings and the right attacks to take down the Garuga with a lance.
Isn't there any specific date until Mr Mojo isn't allowed to post any reviews about this game? I mean, this would be the release date wouldn't it? This would be rly pathetic if it doesn't come out tonight!
Another week and no Monster Hunter. :-/ granted it's only 4 minutes into game release day and it COULD potentially show up later today but this doesn't look too promising. Wah.
Wow the bump on this thread got me excited for a split second. Okay thanks I'll keep that in mind. So I guess the stronger bomb materials are more common later on or do I still need to do big farming for those?
Maybe they want to release it the 4th of July hahaha... I am mad at Capcom for their lack of information. All we have is a damn gameplay video and a twitch video of the gameplay showed by two clowns. I thank you MrMojoRisin for telling us he had a copy of the game for a press review. I am pretty sure the release is close by. It would be great to have so more info instead of being in the dark.
I still need to contact the site I was freelancing for to see if the new editors still want to use my services. Unfortunately, game journalism is not my fulltime job. But honestly, I'm not sure that a review from me would really give you any more info than all the other people that have posted in this topic that have played the game WAY more than me.
