I hope Mr Mojo isn't trolling because otherwise...I'll find him for sure. I just can't take any jokes on this game and its release date!
Nope. Afaik, MrMojiRisin told the truth. He's a writer and for quite some time hanging around on touch Arcade. His name's Mike and here's some proof: http://www.slidetoplay.com/author/mikelawhun/
Ah, I've already looked that up at slidetoplay but didn't knew anything about his real name nor that he is on TA for quite some time now. Ha, good! My honest apologies Mike and thanks guys for clearing things up!
I just realized that this is universal... Is there too much of a difference between playing on an iPhone vs an iPad? Any difference in things like control spacing?
Not really. Really like it on the ipad air, even though at first it felt a little too big. Then after a few gathering quests it sank in and became natural easily. It feels the perfect size and ratio on the ipad mini. Controls are well placed on the 4S, but i imagine those with large thumbs may end up having a little adjusting to do. But hey, this isnt the first game with buttons on it, and it works for most, even those with huge hands.
Ok so random question. I probably shouldn't ask because we don't even have this one yet. But what do you all think about 3U coming to ios? Do you think the iphone could properly run it right now. And do y'all think the Nintendo has to much of a grip on it to let it get to ios?
Well, based on benchmark scores, the ipad 4 is potentially stronger than the PS3, but certain things prohibit 3rd party devs to maximize what they can do with iOS devices. That said, with the news of the new API for iOS 8 that can give more freedom to devs with what they can do with the iOS hardwares, the table is really open for new innovations. If things pan out favorably, im sure Capcom's still going to cash in on their other MH titles before they release later titles like 3U. These are all thoughts, so we'll just have to wait and see what Capcom has for us in the future. For now, the future is MHP2G in the form of MHFU on iOS, and i cant wait for that future to happen even if i've been rocking MHP2G translated with the patch for a while now.
Yes I've been trying to tell my friend about this game and how, even though everyone always says this about games I honstly feel like this is a game changer for ios. It's and I honstly think this will be the biggest monster hunter in the states by far, if only because of availability of the platform. It will give everyone a chance to really give monster hunter a try and the addition of online play (once they get the kinks out) will create that social atmosphere that allows monster hunter to be so popular in japan.
^It's dynamic. Transparent on default, opaques when you touch anywhere which isnt a button (when in town), and becomes a lot more transparent when touched. Not sure if im missing any other detail on the controls, but there's a few options attached to it like the X/Y axis invert. Cant remember the other options though. Overall im pretty impressed with the implementation of the controls.
The PS3 uses a PC GPU from ~7 years ago (I have it on an my very old PC) but it doesn't har an overhead from OS and drivers so or could get extremely good graphics from it. Reasons why DS and PSP can get great graphics from slow chips. With Metal, Apple is bringing that advantage to iOS so it will be interesting how that will pan out.
I feel like the thing that has been holding back ios gaming a great deal has been the lack of physical controls. the way this games controls are set up are really so much something we haven't seen before but it just seems to work pretty effortlessly to the point where I feel no need for a controller.
True that. The PS3 may sport the older hardware, but we all know what it was capable of in terms of pushing that hardware into great outputs. Hopefully, Metal will open huge possibilities for the iOS scene as well. Im hoping Metal will be the saving grace that will encourage more premium material into the iOS scene.
Am I the only one who believes the Xbox 360 has a better hardware setup than the PS3? My game library supports this, as I have a lot more 360 games than PS3. Everyone is always talking about PS3. It was the WORST console Sony ever produced, and the definition of 'bottle necking'. I just don't understand why so many people talk about that machine as a standard for ios to embrace. It's crappy hardware with a fistful of good exclusives. If it didn't suck so bad, why did Sony do a complete 180 for the PS4? Even ditching the often bragged about, infamous Cell Processor! I mean hell! My 360 runs TitanFall, at 45FPS, on 9 year old hardware! Now I'm just ranting lol! Anyways, you get my point.
LOL... 360 fanboy. FYI, i made the comparison of the PS3 to ipad4 because that was the benchmark scoring comparison that i found last time, and it showed that the ipad4 actually scored better than the PS3. Nobody said PS3 was more powerful than a 360.
