Lol. The only other monster hunter I've played besides this one on ios was the very first one for ps2. Haha
Yep, imho it's on par if not better than XCOM itself. Good thing XCOM was last year so it won't compete for my choice of GOTY assuming it gets released this year
After i got endgame equips in God Eater Burst i didnt pick it up anymore. It's a great game though. A more sci-fi, anime-ish approach to monster hunter done right isnt a bad thing at all.
I didn't care much about the setting nor about the anime style of the game. The thing that made me like it more than MH was that it felt more like a hack n slash game, with canceling things into things, air combos, fast moves and such. Monster Hunter just doesn't give me the "I'm so powerful I could beat Chuck Norris barehanded!!!" feeling.
Isn't that kinda the point, though? It's not an anime-style RPG, it's a monster hunting game. You can get stronger weapons and armour, but if you were able to single-handedly backhand-kill the monster, it would take the whole epic experience out of it.
Yeah, I don't really feel like there's a point you become "over powered" in MH unless you replay old bosses with weapons you got many HRs past. However your health pretty much stays the same throughout the entire game.
While I do understand the need to feel godlike power in some games, this isnt one of those games. When I think of a hunter I dont think of someone who goes out and picks on weaker animals... I think of someone who goes after superior animals in some way. Bigger, or faster, stealthier, something! Thats what makes this game shine is facing something so much better than yourself, and outwitting it, and making it your beatch.
Oh gosh I don't even want to imagine water fighting. I'm already having a enough trouble on land. Unless I get magic powers to dry up the ocean and let monsters flop around helplessly.
Lol the most I've ever been scared while gaming is when the lagia appears in one of the beginner quests, which is just after the quest where you learn how to swim. Thanks CAPCOM...
Can anyone tell me how multiplayer works in MHP2G for iOS? I'm new to the MH series and also doesn't speak Japanese, and just bought the game from the Japan App Store. I have played the game for many hours, with MHFU guides from the Internet helping me understanding things. The only problem I have is the multiplayer part. Can anyone translate the multiplayer menu? I can't play MH with my friend for days. Screenshot is much more appreciated.
LOL... Thats what they did with a gathering quest in MHFU where there's a tigrex who'll want you for a snack.
Haha!Bring on all the disappointed comments after we've bumped this up again just before Thursday! Loving this game, just not sure what I'll do when they finally release the English version, hoping ifunbox will be able to transfer save files over!
I was able to transfer save files in between the 4S and the ipad air, so we know that works. Problem is if the save file is compatible with the english version. On the PSP save files, you need to "convert" the save files if you want to use an EU save on a US version. This was the case for those who have the wrong versions as multiplayer is only allowed if you had the same region-versions. Hopefully, this wont be the case on iOS.
