Problem with duals is, those weapons wear off very quick, sharpness is lost faster than with any other weapon. Additionally, they possess only small attack stats and are incapable of blocking. An advantage is the combo ability which might deal quite some dmg over time. But I don't think they are the best weapons. But if it is your weapon, go for it. Until mid-game, they do pretty well.
Duals are still great weapons though. Sharpsword helps with the dulling a lot. The stamina drain on demonize mode is a double edged sword, but juices help that immensely. Duals may not be the best weapon class per se, but they are pretty strong against everything, and not really a lot of cons which you dont have answer for.
I'm all about the hunting horn. Ability to buff the group and the ability to move VERY fast with the weapon drawn did it for me. Also, saves a ton on stamina by not having to "run" all the time. When I need to cut, I'll use the long sword or the great sword.
Bows for me, as a matter of fact, i use bows in any and all games. Demon hunter in D3, zon in d2, also in tes 4 and 5, ranger in battleheart legacy, etc. Love the strategy of correct positioning and skill usage or something like that
Yeah, bows are pretty strong in this game. I recommend to always have the option to switch to bows for certain enemies. Exact Psience: yeah, true words, since there's one thing about duals that's impressive is: that as soon as you exactly know how to move in a fight... well, it's more like a dance with fatal moves... if you find the rythm, then you're slicing the enemy into little pieces. Speed is their true strenght. Yet, a handy and trusy hammer would be my weapon of choice in the most situations. Lances are also nice, pretty good to make a yummy monster shish kebab, as bows do.
3-4 rolls is ideal, but it depends on the monster you are fighting, and how large it is. For wyverns that do tail spin attacks, standing just outside the tailspin range is perfect. For really fast, mobile monsters like Garuga, Rajang, Tigrex or Blangonga, 2 rolls is usually good, unless they are king sized. You'd want to circle them fast, so you'll have to stick a little closer.
Yeah... Hammers are probably the best weapon type in terms of damage. On e you know how to keep damagaing consistently, the more you deal damage coz of the KO status. Plus, it may not be the fastest, but its movespeed is a godsend.
Do you get any companions in this game? In Tri you get Cha-Cha, but what about this? How does the bow and bowgun aiming mechanic work? Is there an aiming button? Is it hard/annoying aiming?
Havent used a bow yet, but i have been using HBGs for a while now. The aiming is annoying when using the analog stick, but is fantastic when you use the "swipe" camera controls instead.
Well I guess it's not coming out today? I dunno what time it would appear in the AppStore if it had though
The game may pop up at anytime everywhere, if Capcom decides to push the release button. It's also possible that it pops up tomorrow or that we get a releaese date in the next days/weeks. At this point, no-one can tell.
With a bow? Shoot the gap between the spikes on his back with pierce shots. He never dies in any area except the last one. So just keep damaging his back and he should die at the last area. Oh... he's weak to dragon element, so a dragon element bow would help a ton.
Also, jump on his back from the overhangs at some areas in the map for a sexy carve. And if you want to know where those anti dragon bombs are for. Yep, place em there.
Cool thanks! Didn't know that those bombs should go to his back. So i got the black bow, will be using that one. And i thought he was weak at the head lol. Thank you again
Just hit him in the head enough to flinch him twice there, that should guarantee a lao horn in the rewards. You can also break his shoulders easily with rapid shots if your bow has that shot. His true weakness is his back, but melee characters should be aiming for his belly.
