Ah okay, I'll give them a shot! Thanks for the explanation What do you do when you're going to be hit with a move you can't block? Try to dodge?
If you do have evade+ skills, almost everything can be dodged. Else, you should still be sheathing the weapon if you are expecting an unblockable attack, or when the monster goes too far from you.
I actually found that but didn't read too much into it because it was for later games. I'll give it a proper read then! Cool, evade lancing is on the list! Thank god for the super man jump
I recommend everyone to listen to the Monster Hunter Swing playlist, it's very snazzy! https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEB879E60BF5BC5B0
I was really worried about the 2nd 5* village elder quest. The thought of facing 2 blangongas was... frightening... But it was actually really easy! The first blangonga met me in area 1, so I could weaken it right near base camp. Then it jumps to area 6, where I briefly faced both of them. But focusing on the weakened one makes it jump to area 3 after a very short while, thereby making the 2-blangongas-at-once part very short! Also, both blangongas seem individually weaker than they are in a quest with only one of them. Anyway, I was able to farm this quest for some blangonga fangs, and now I have the blango decimator! Decent raw damage (more than the eager cleaver), and nice ice damage too. Time to farm some raths!
And now I find today that the videos have been deleted. I'm actually pretty upset about this ~Edit~ Found a new source: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oBwt8T8P8Zs I am at peace once again
Hi everyone this is the reincarnation of Duivs Well I've finished all my exams and I think I've passed with flying colours! Going to make a new game on MHFU soon, keep an eye out for Luna in the guild hall!
Monsters in quests with multiples always have lower health than if you face a single one as far as i know
Yeah... it's usually down to about 60-70% health each if you are facing multiples in a mission. That's not the exact figures, but that should give you an idea of how much lesser the HP is. Their other stats are the same though.
Good to know. Thanks guys. I've now farmed kirin for enough hide/horn etc to make a kirin armour set. Just need 3 more electro sacs from red khezu, to make the kirin boots! Gotta say, kirin is pretty easy once you get its moves down.
Wow I never realised how annoying hunting giaprey and anteka with a great sword would be until now...
Finally got to HR6 soloing the guild quests. They're getting tougher and tougher with multiple monster missions, but that black gravios really sucks! The beam he sweeps isn't hard to dodge but when it hits, it's an auto-cart for my gunner. Plus, he's really tough hp-wise. He's probably got a million hp lol. Wish there was wifi at work though for additional help. Also, I haven't beaten the village Akantor yet and I've read somewhere that the bow you make off of him is really good and better than my base Narga bow
Stick close to him, about just outside the radius of his head. Dont get him to distance away from you. If he does, sheathe and get ready to superman dive the beams. If you can manage to just stay outside his head radius, you should be able to consistently shoot him with pierce shots through the body... His weakness in inside his stomach a little bit below his body. Pierce shots will hit his weakpoint without having to break the chest plates. And yeah... the Akantor Bow is almost broken compared to what the other bows offer. Needs that +1 charge level skill (forgot the name) to be the best bow it can be.
High five!!! FINALLY slayed that !@#$%^&* tigrex (the 2nd tigrex of the 5* elder quests). I've been stuck on this quest for 3 days... I got so annoyed with it I considered giving the game up for a week or two! In the end, I slowed the quest down, by fighting the tigrex near an area border, and popping in and out of the area to heal/combine/sharpen. This tactic worked really well, as I was never far from safety. When tiggy started to limp, I knew success was close. Ah, the sweet feeling of victory! The next quest had me really worried, as I had never fought a diablos before (except in MH Explore). It looked really big, and really terrifying... and it went down first attempt! The ease with which I defeated it was a shock, and in marked contrast to the trials tiggy put me through! The main difference (apart from their comparative speeds) was the fact that you can't get under a tigrex, but you can get under a diablos, and it's tummy slicing time when you do!
Well done! Tigrex is pretty much the second monster (after Khezu, the 'don't be greedy' test) that makes or breaks a hunter. You've passed the 'overcome the odds' test!
