Haha awesome post well put, this is exactly what happned to me lol! Then i put over a 100 hours into it, it really is an amazing game. At that point another village would be awesome but cannot fault it. The only negative is i have a 16gb ipad air 2 so as i wanted to play other games i deleted it as it does not have icloud # on the plus side i got the newer 3ds xl to play the newer ones so it was worth the sacrifice, but yeah, your post is spot on to probabbly how alot of players felt.
Trying bow gunning for the first time on iOS (to take down Basarios, and then Monoblos), and actually enjoying it a lot. Makes it a whole different game. Aiming seems a bit slow, though. Need to practice more.
Going to get this really soon on iOS mostly due to the online capability. I played FU for over 100 hours on PSP, 500+ hours of MH3U, almost 400 hours on MH4U and I'm just finishing the village quests on MHGen. My main question is: is the online active or decently populated? If not, is it easy to coordinate with other players to play?
Well i better tell you now, in all those countless hours i spent on this, i never once successfully got online....not once. Even when it came on ios 9 and the fix and liasing with a guy on ta on the forums at the same time, it still wudnt work. At that point i gave up. Ive not played for a month as i have just bought corpse party on ios, so i wont be going back for a while. But yeah if thats what your interest is you might be disappointed, i was on ipad air 2. I heard some people saying they got on but its by no means simple and easy.
Some people have issues getting online in the first place, unfortunately, and I couldn't tell you exactly why. But there is a decent population of people if one can get on, yes.
Also, some people have claimed that the game worked on iOS 10 beta 1. Is it safe to assume it will work on iOS 10?
I'm on iOS 10 Public Beta 7 and aside from the left directional button not working unless you swipe down on it (the selection button, the joystick for movement works), everything is working pretty well. I've been on Beta 1 since the the 4 star elder quests HR1 and am now on HR 3 and on the 9 star nehkot quests. No problems so far so I guess it's safe to assume that it'll work on the final iOS 10 release... hopefully
Woah didnt know anyone had ios 10 in beta at the moment, thanks for taking the time to find out thats awesome!!! ✌#️#
I'm thinking of buying this and if I do buy it it will be my first MH game I've ever played. Before I buy though, just wondering, how bad is this game on battery life? Is the battery drain comparable to other 3D games or is it Titans Quest level of a battery killer?
Depends what you play on? I only play ios games on my tablet, air 2 and i can play all day and charge on the night so im not too sure? Also turning brightness down, or aeroplane mode might help it last longer if you find some games eating away at battery? But i dont think it makes that much difference?
Ive personally experienced that, i find i can game longer on my tablet but then again i never had the 6s so? Id assume it would be the same, its just that when ever people say this or that game is a battery killer, i never experience that?? And i play alot! Monster hunter i was putting in four five hours a day when i was playing lol and i never once got to the point i had to out the charger in, but again i guess u use phone more...calls, texting, facebook and then on top gaming, well then i can see why it kills the battery.
Playing on a 6s and it's not bad. Although it drains a bit more IMHO when I went to the iOS 10 beta but still manageable.
Just bought my daughter a 2DS with Pokémon X and SM 3D Land. And I also got MHGen via the eShop and played it while she was watching or doing something else hehe. The new monsters are really refreshing to fight although I'm only in the 2 star village quests. The Tetsucabra and the Great Maccao, plus the dang Cephadrome on the desert (Old Desert in MHFU) map is great because of the elevation! Wish they port over the other Monster hunter games like Tri, 3U, 4 or even 4U. Or they fix the multiplayer component of MHFU for iOS. It's really hard ranking up in the guild quests coz of the difficulty in finding other players or even staying connected
Has anyone tried the game with iOS 10 GM yet? There was words of it working in the beta with only a few bugs (the left directional button only working by swiping down on it). Is it worth going to iOS10, or best wait around a bit?
Thanks for that - sounds like it should work ok. Any info on the small bugs with the left directional button? It seems like this thread is really the only place on the internet I can find recent information and discussion on this game. A shame because it is easily one of my most-played ones...
No idea, but maybe you can ask Dailon80 through PM, since he seems to own iOS 10 and can check it out.
