Awesome! Thanks. How about an in game chat? I saw a video on YT were it was mentioned but not showed. Is this true?
Congrats! Lol, and if you think that Tigrex was hard, just wait for the beasts the game throws at you soon. I am sure that Fatalis, Teostra, Lunastra and Ukanlos are "dying" to meet you. Yummy little human weakling, om nom nom. *evil grin*
i think a chat service's been implemented, but it's kind of clunky and i don't think there's any voice chat features, unfortunately
Chat service works at the lobby. But in game, theres no way to talk to your party. When the hunt starts, its kind of like feeling what your team will be doing and what will they be doing next.
Ah, so chat is only available in the lobby. Kinda dumb but better than nothing I guess. Is the Lock-On feature only available for bosses or any animal/monster out there? I only saw it working on bosses so I'm kinda curious. Sorry for all the questions guys ^_^
How are the controls in this one,I played it sometime ago on my psp and quite enjoyed it.I might buy it if the controls are responsive.
I havent played yet so I cant vouch personally, but if you read the entire thread, there is a lot of positive feedback on the controls.
I have never played MH before, I know it's very big in Japan. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I do like action games and brawlers. Can play daily but not too long. Question: is this game for me? How much does it cost btw?
^ This is currently in Japan only, do you think you can get it? Based on what you said, this game is probably not for you unfortunately. The prices should be listed on the 1st post.
I'm just interested in getting it when it hits the US store that's all. First post is all in japanese so I can't find the price anywhere. Thanks for the answer btw.
I paid about $26 (due to multiple conversions), but i think the game'll be at $20 coz i believe that's also the price on the Vita (needs confirmation). As for the game, the average hunt for new players in low rank and elder quests is about 15 to 25 minutes per hunt. High Rank and G-rank can reach up to 40 minutes in average for the new hunter. Each mission has a maximum time limit of 50 minutes though, so each hunt cant go over that duration as you'll fail if it did. This game isnt at all a brawler. It's one of those games where you could be running around the enemy for about 15 seconds before you can hit it with 2 or 3 strikes with your weapon. Each hunt requires a bit of strategy, and you wont get far going mano-y-mano with the monsters. Im not trying to sway you into not getting the game, but the game certainly isnt for casual gaming. The difficulty is also something you might want to consider. When you reach G-rank (highest difficulty level), most monster will take over half your total hp in one hit. This isnt an RPG where you can level up and get higher HP, the max HP will always be 150, and that requires items or other bonuses to achieve. 200 hours wont even be enough to get a new player into G-rank. If you can pour at least an hour into your games in each session, then i highly recommend giving the game a shot. Eventually, the game will sway you into looking for opportunities to play it more.
Hmmm, Exact-Psience, the price in the Japanese Appstore is 1.600¥, and since Apple doesn't allow different pricings on a game, it should convert into (around) $16-17 or 12-13€. And I think, the game will brutally force him to play more by giving him life-threatening withdrawal symptoms...
^Yeah you're probably right. The game's well worth my $26 even not everything is in english though, and i'd instabuy Unite on release as well.
