It does take some time to get into. I've installed it and deleted it multiple times since I bought it 2 years ago. Once it finally clicked though it was enough for me to go out and buy a new Nintendo 3DSXL and give MH4U a lot of attention. Now that this is back in working order it's getting all of my iOS play time. The training missions and the subsequent 1-2 star missions are quite boring. But you have to remember these are dealing with fighting small monsters while you're still learning the ropes. Wait until you start fighting the real monsters of the game.
Do you have fast internet connection? If its not the internet then I'm not sure what the issue is hopefully someone can chime in.
These are the ones who play a lot online carrying G-rank equips but cant kill a Tigrex on their own. The 2 of the 3 i was in that game had G-rank weapons, a few G-rank Tigrex armor pieces, and we were hunting G-rank dual Tigrex as they created the room to help farming the quest.
If you're having issues getting online, never finding a room with people in it or disconnecting ALL the time after like a minute, PM me. I had the exact same problems and no one here could help so I managed to find a post on another forum from 2 years ago. Solved my problem immediately.
Maybe no one here helped because no one here knew how to... Why not post the link to the post in the other forum? In all the years I've been around these forums, people are very helpful indeed when they know how to help...
Yeah... I for one, dont post "sorry i dunno" if i dont have answers to the questions, but answer as much as i could to the ones i know of. Im sure some other bro or sis would have the answers.
Super helpful! I edited my post and used Would when I should have used Could. And I didn't post the link as I didn't want to risk a TOS violation, that's why I requested the PM
I installed the updated version on my iPad, went to move my backed up save file to the correct folder using iExplorer and was greeted with a barred entry sign. The app may not have been iTunes file sharing enabled before, but at least you could get into the folder contents with a third party app, now it is locked up. I've got about 100 hours into my save game and it was a lot of hard work. This sure throws a wet blanket on my desire to play again since I can't see any way around it. Has anyone else noticed this or been able to get around it?
Yeah I just tried ibackupbot and imazing and they hit the same locked documents folder for the app that iExplorer gave me. This app is now locked down as of 8.3 and later it would seem. Very disappointed. Here's what capcom had to say about it via email: "Thanks for contacting Capcom Customer Support. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for iOS did not officially support the File Sharing feature for the app previously and this is not an option now either. If you still have the gameplay data on your app from the previous version however, you will still be able to continue playing from that save point with the updated app. Unfortunately if you have already deleted the app and your gameplay data, you will need to start from the beginning. Apologies for the inconvenience." In other words, YOU CAN NO LONGER BACKUP OR RESTORE YOUR SAVE GAME. Very bad news.
No prob. Btw, my App Store app says there's an update to MHFU, which I'll hopefully update in a few hours. Maybe the problems got solved in this update?
I'm sorry but this just can't be true. I had iOS 8 or 9 something when I deleted the game off my iPad. Once it became unbroken, I reinstalled the app and loaded up my save with ibackupbot. I've also backed up my game and reloaded it without issue... Sorry to hear about your luck
I can't tell if I should update or not. I mean it's working fine now and I doesn't say anything about improving the network gaming. Not sure what "system related issues" are.. I just don't want my game to accidentally break after fixing it for so long.
I'll update later for some reason it's not letting me update and I think it's a glitch in ios 10. I'm gonna try later after sleep hehe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was having a bit of trouble finding people to quest with in the online gathering hall, but with Lickzy's help that's no longer the case. Straight away I was put in a room with three others and we completed a quest with no disconnections or dropouts. So my thanks go to Lickzy for helping me out, much appreciated. I also just updated and ran through a solo quest to test it and everything still works fine. I'm on the latest official iOS.
