Haha, i was too busy rolling on my ass to avoid the Kutku or trying to tickle him with my upgraded bone sword But one thing is true: multiplayer is 10 times the fun of solo
i agree icloud save is sorely missed. This game is so much better on my 12.9 with controller but obviously i have much more gaming time on my phone.
The upgraded honey box in your farm should provide ample amounts of honey each visit, but before you reach that stage, yeah, gathering from within mission is a pain. Kelbi horns can eventually be bought from the elder shop outside the guild hall.
To be honest, unless you have a plan for each one's roles in multiplayer, singleplayer is EASIER. On solo runs (and i mean NO CATS), you can easily force double turns with quick positioning which is essential for extra hits or setting up hammer or GS power snipes. That, and you know which direction the monster will attack to next time. In multiplayer, if you dont know that the monster's target is right behind where you intend to reposition, you could get mauled.
Compatibility Hi Guy's I've been playing this game on PSP years ago and was able to log around a total of 1000 hours gameplay. I was able to read reviews that says that this game works great on IOS using touchscreen and I wanted to download the game but I'm not sure if the game works on IOS 9.3.3 beta 5. Has anyone tried this game on 9.3.3 or does this only work on 9.3.2? Thanks. I'd like to hunt those monster's again hehe!
Cheers, Lickzy! TBH, I'm still so bad at the main game, I might as well start from scratch on the tablet anyway... Love it, though. Not many games make you feel this inept, while you are painfully aware that's all still perfectly fair.
Thanks for the info. Will download the game after shift hehe! It's been years since I last played this game. Hopefully I'll get used to the new touch controls.
I here you on being bad at the game. I looked and noticed the last time I played this game was in 2014. I am horribly rusty and embarrassed to play online until I brush up. I just imagine people looking at me and saying "you don't deserve that rank or that gear" Hoping to get online sometime next week. Are there a lot of TA'ers playing online together?
The touch screen interface is awesome and easy to get a handle on, I'm sure you'll adjust fine. Also, welcome to the forums
So happy this is finally updated! I've been playing MH4U on the 3ds, and it's awesome, but I have still missed this one. My main problem now is that I can't find my HDMI dongle for my phone. I love being able to play this on the big TV with a controller. I can't imagine how I lost my HDMI adapter.
So, should I use HBG, LBG, or Bow against Khezu? I'm trying to ease the pain of farming it. I also decided that since I will be going through most of the game solo, I should learn to use a variety of weapons, and that now would be a good time to start.
I destroyed this guy with a sword and shield but it was the first fire blade you can get early on, ive not tried the bowgun so cant help there. I have started with sword and shield and only a few mosters i have used the long blade which is painfully slow and dual blades. Each one takes a long time to master so i would stick with one for a while first matser it then go on to the next....but who knows u might be able to matser 2 or 3 at same time?
I must be getting old - I can't believe the enthusiasm here for the control scheme. I can't figure out what the heck to do on an iPad or the million different options on the screen. Edit: this is a a joke...I can't even get past the first tutorial fight....tells me to kill 5 foozles but there's only two of them spawning and there's no exit from the zone.
Everyone who recommended the game mentioned a steep learning curve. That includes getting used to the button options. Once you get familiar with the controls, you'll realize this is way better than having 6 or more buttons on the screen. Plus, they added a boss lock-on which makes handling the camera easier most of the time. Take note the control scheme is similar to the original MH and MH2 which uses both sticks for movement and attacking. It isnt new here really. Just translated into touch.
I'm not quite sure what fight you mean. It sounds like one of the weapon training missions in the training school where you kill five Giaprey and the first room in the zone once you leave the camp usually has two? Did you pick up the items from the blue box at the start of the quest? Especially the map, if you have trouble figuring out where to go. Note that some room exits involve climbing. Unlike on PSP, the iOS version will show you when a ledge you're standing next to is climbable (red icon near your character) and there will be a button in the bottom right with the same icon that allows you to climb up. As for the controls, if you are on a weapon training mission, it should have told you a few things about how the buttons work with your weapon. But there is also a "basic" category in the training school that starts with the, well, basics, and might be more useful at the start than the weapon training. In your room back in the village, there's a book shelf next to your bed. Interact with it to read the manual pages (info magazines) that you unlock as you play the game.
