To be honest for a game that seems huge, 1GB isn't bad at all.

I wish Capcom would give us a statement about a western release.
On the other Hand, there are already English translation files in the app (see front page / this thread).

Capcom would be crazy not to release this worldwide. Even for $15-$20, they'd make tons of money. Games like these are system seller. A money-printing machine.

    Yah

    Finally!
I will grab this if it comes out in English. I don't want to switch my account to JPN. Though, I've played almost every iteration in Japanese (Including Frontier).

The localization. They posted Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for iOS with a TBA release date.

    Good find man.

Was about to buy some JP itunes credits from offgamers to buy the JP version. I guess that means the wait continues for now.

    Thanks for this!

I'm pretty sure they don't know anything, and are just making an educated guess.
We all know the game already has an English translation. That and the fact that there's localized files already in the game means we can be pretty certain that an English version will be released at some point.

Did anyone try using one of the localizations?

    I disagree.
Dragon Quest VIII is in Japan's Store since months and has lots of translated file data in it.
But it has never been localized released in Appstores outside Japan, so the existence of those files doesn't mean it will come. It just raises the possibility, but doesn't make it really certain.
An IGN announcement like that above isn't a guarantee either, it just makes it a bit more possible.
There are other games in the Japanese Appstore where this applies as well. Some highly anticipated releases just don't find their way out of Japan.

Until an official announcement from Capcom, there's always a chance that we will never see a localized Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (MH 2nd G) on iOS.

thanks! if this isn't released in the us within the month or so, i'll take a cue from nicodemus and order a japanese itunes gift card online, because a japanese copy is a hell of a lot better than nothing at all

Sorry man... Still ended up buying the game anyway and im currently downloading. It took Unite to be releaseda year later after MH2G, cant wait that long considering i can remedy it with $25.

Also got me thinkin how it was listed that MHP2G is TBA, when it came out as MH Freedom Unite on the PSP. IGN may just be making predictions due to the language folders brought up.

Ace Attorney HD Trilogy took almost 1 year and a half to be released everywhere after being released in Japan. Just saying.

Working for longer than 1 year on mobile game is a bit ridiculous, due to how fast the mobile scene is changing every year.

Not ridiculous. This is MH we are talking about here. Unite came so late and everyone who had PSPs bought it.

I bought JP itunes credit from Offgamers. Worked like a charm.
