Impeccable timing with MH Generations coming out on 3DS this month... I wonder if that's related to the delay instead of MH Explore... If MHFU is an RPG, it's an Action RPG without free exploration where nearly every quest is a boss fight. So the comparison sort of works, but you do have to enjoy boss fights. Pretty much all the large monsters you hunt in this game are hard boss fights that require preparation and the willingness to learn their moves, and that can easily take 30-40 minutes later in the game. The learning curve is very steep and the skill cap is very high. But it's also immensely satisfying precisely because it doesn't pull punches. (Don't worry about the start though, it's enough of an RPG to send you gather some herbs first... ) Personally, I think it's one of the best games on iOS. One of the best ports on iOS with touch controls that native games sometimes could learn a thing or two from. (And if you have an MFI controller, it supports those too.)
This is only the best port on mobile ever.. with FF9 being a close second for me. I recommend this to anyone that loves RPGs / hunting / a good challenge / amazing games.
Thanks Danny, will pick up in the morning, need to go to bed, can't deal with distraction, lol. Thanks again!
Haven't been able to get ifunbox or iexplorer to work. Don't think I'm up for starting again after 150 hours of progress. :/
I had reached a point where I knew this game was done and then a surprise announcement on TA and now an actual fix! Wow shocked but very glad. Bioshock next I hope!
Ooh, but what about The World Ends With You? That gets my vote! Then MHFU. Really pleased this is back. It never went away for me, as I kept iOS 8.4, but I feel I should now devote some time to getting good so I can join the multiplayer.
Finally this great game is back!! Looking foward to play with you guys~ i hope my first residency semester that just started ends fast can't play even for a bit on this first semester
Almost buying it since many people didn't upgrade their device for this game alone. Seems like a must have.
Oh it is. I recommend playing near an outlet or having an external battery pack on you. It gets addictive, fast... If you get into this sort of thing, that is.
I have a case from Apple which almost double the battery time. Now I have to choose convenience (iphone) or big graphics (ipad). Lol
I used to love GTA San Andreas on PS2, and I remember when it came out on iOS I couldn't believe it, I was like, man, even if no more games ever release on iOS again I'd still be happy. I've had the same feeling with quite a few games now, including Chaos Rings 3 and MHFU. Games that seriously take over your life for awhile. Even if we have to look through mountains of free to pay rubbish, we can still find real games like these in there. We are very lucky on iOS and we shouldn't forget it. I mean, we have Baldurs Gate (+many others) on a device that I once thought was only good for playing Snake on. Incredible really.
I do agree. If only Apple didn't force unnecessary updates all time, things could be even better, since games wouldn't break as often.
Someone With iOS 8.3 And App Updated Can Confirm It Work? Not launching the App,i Mean after a Small play.Reading Someone have Some Problem on specific iOS 8x Version make me Think Twice.
Yeah, residency on anesthesiologist.. everyday we only get 4-5 hours of sleep, and on weekends we get a better 6 hours of sleep.. no free time at all on the first semester My old iphone 4 battery bloated because of playing this game while charging for a long time.. on the upside is i beat ukanlos though~
Nice!!! I'm a resident myself, i'm taking up Orthopedic surgery and presently on my 4th year, will finish (hopefully) this December. Ukanlos is the white Akantor-ish beasty right? That guy I've never fought. Never even seen it in-game aside from looking him up in YouTube lol
A few people have commented on the main page TA story that the update is working fine running the iOS 10 beta.
It's cool to see that we have some professionals who still game. I am a psychotherapist in private practice as well as a university professor. I still make sure I find time for IOS gaming on a daily basis, it's good to see I am not alone.
Whew, now that's a relief. I thought iOS 10 broke it again lol. So I guess it'll be safe to upgrade once it comes out *fingers crossed*
