Capcom just announced there will be an update for MH2G early next year(2016) for supporting iOS9

I hope MHFU soon too because basically they are the same game.

If worse comes to worst (translation: if i have no choice but to update to iOS9), i did buy the MHP2G version that i could just redownload if that gets fixed.

Whoa. Great idea. If I ever have to update my iOS 8.4.1 to the latest and the English version remains untouched, this is what I'll do. Now that I know all the buttons and symbols, language really doesn't matter.

 

In honor of that news i just killed 3 akantors. 1 with a longsword, 1 with a hammer, and 1 with a greatsword. Cmon Capcom, get your sheets straight!

Daaayummmmm that is good to know! I believe my 4S is on the latest iOS, so i'll try reinstalling there.

 

It has always worked fine on the iPad 3 running any OS. It's just newer (64-bit) devices that are having the issue.

 

It's crazy that newer devices running the most recent versions of iOS breaks games. If anything you would expect the issues to occur with older devices, but they work just fine with each new version of iOS.

 

Aw crap. I guess that means it's still dead on the ipad air if i switch to iOS9.

EDIT: Well, it does work on my 4S, so that confirms CK's post above.

 

This is definitely an issue that Apple needs to sort out. There’s something badly wrong when the latest devices / OS versions are somehow incompatible and end up breaking apps.

Lets hope that Phil Schiller’s appointment as head of the app store results in identifying this problem and making it a priority to get it fixed. (although I’m not holding my breath)

 

I hope this comes back to the App Store. I'd like to play it with the new Nimbus controller I acquired.

 

I'm really missing this game can't wait till it gets back. It's literally the only game I put 100+ hours into besides maybe FIFA and skyrim on Xbox. But that took a year. This one took a two or three months if that. One of my most played games ever and it's on the iPhone 0_o

 

Still works perfect on my 6 too. I'm using iOS 8 though.
