It would not make any sense at all for them to update a much older, rather forgotten game (Ghost trick) that barely makes money in the AppStore (right now) and then completely ignore MHFU which is much more famous and is still rocking paid charts.
Capcom only made an announcement about Ghost Trick. That's not anywhere remotely close to being the same thing as "flat out" stating they weren't going to update MHFU.
I don't know if this has been mentioned in the last few pages but it has been pulled now and still shows in my purchase history.
They flat-out stated they didn't have any plans to update MHFU on the game's App Store page Edit: spelling
I know that iFunbox lost its functionality with 8.3 (which I'm still on). Aside from jailbreaking, is there any other way or bypass that would allow me to extract the MHFU save file? I can't play this any more knowing my significant, hard-earned progress can't be backed up.
Yes you can use iexplorer to extract it from your iPhone backup at your computer. See instructions at: http://iexplorer-support.macroplant.com/customer/portal/articles/1942869 Or jailbreak. It's also possible to transfer your savegame to a new idevice if you back up your old one and set up the new device with your backup.
Wow that is new? Never heard of that before So this means zero change of playing MHU ever again.... Oh my..
If you upgraded to iOS 9, it looks like the only way to play it is to emulate the PSP version, which I've heard is hard to play. OR, you could try to buy a new/used iPhone 6 or an older iPod or iPad that is still on an older iOS version. I bought an iPhone 6 the day before the 6S came out. Then I forced it to update to 8.4.1 while that was still being signed by Apple. But they've stopped signing it. So, I'd recommend getting a new or used device still on iOS 8.x.x and putting MHFU on that.
Anyone notice this works on iOS 9.1? iPhone 5 updated by accident, thought I'd try loading monster hunter from iTunes and it worked !
It's only 64-bit devices that are affected. The game has been working fine on my iPad 3 running all versions of iOS 9.
Ah right thanks I hadn't tried on my 64 bit iPad yet, feel a lot better about the accidental update on my iphone
I wish the time will come that i check this thread when bumped and it would then make me smile again.
