Yes! So awesome. Hopefully the release date won't be too far off! E3's next week, so we'll definitely know something by then!
about time! so psyched! still worth buying the japan version, though. :3 edit: do you know if there's a way to transfer data from the japanese save game to the upcoming western one using ifunbox or something similar? i wouldn't be too bummed out starting from scratch since this game's so much damn fun, but it is nice to keep progress, uh, progressing
With iFunbox go to the folder of the app and copy the Documents folder to your computer. Once the English version gets released, open it (in order to create the Documents folder), close the app and go to iFunbox and replace the Documents folder with the back up.
huh, wasn't sure if that'd work across translated versions, but i'll give it a shot and get back to you. thanks!
Well, I'm not sure either. That totally depends on how Capcom does the translation. You won't lose anything on the proccess so it will still be worth a try.
i'll let you know if it works out, since i'll be buying the game the moment it hits the us app store (or rather, the moment i find out about it). fingers crossed!
Yeah i remember on the PSP the save files need to be "converted" to work on different regional versions.
i remember people in the neogaf forum and possibly earlier in this thread mentioning that the PSP/iOS savefile filetypes are different and would need to be converted (and if there's a way to do this, i don't know about it)
Cant say. I never tried dissecting a PSP savefile before, so im not sure what files system i can find in it. There is a huge possibility though, coz i think MHVuze ripped the translations from a PSP iso which he added into the iOS version. Not sure about that though, so dont quote me on that.
It's official??? Wow look at all the butthurt in the comments / likes dislikes. I know why Android people get a bad rep and it's because they whine so much. They don't even act pleasant about it. If it's not on their system, they'll talk shit about everyone else that has it. And I've seen NUMEROUS case where some Android fan talks big shit about Apple because they have a game they want then someone replies "it was also released on Android." It's almost like they enjoy trash talking. Annoys me so much. You know what? Last of Us is not on the Xbox which is my only console right now but I'm not talking smack about PS3 since I can't play it. == You know literally everytime I play MHFU, I think about what will happen to my save when the english version comes out. Generally they should swap over fine but there's always a rare case where the save files are NOT compatible. I don't know if I'd start over again but I definitely would rather play in total English. So basically, it scares me
i couldn't agree more (though i can't stand it when iOS users do the same as far as 'idevices vs android' goes. they're both different operating systems with their own strengths and weaknesses. for instance, i'm not a huge fan of how constrained iOS is compared to android, but the ui is so much more responsive and natural-feeling in my opinion that i couldn't imagine not sticking with it). it also annoys me to see comment after comment trashing the touch controls prior to even giving 'em a shot, because, frankly, this has some of the best touch controls i've ever used in a game, and have in no way hindered playing the game for me
That thing about Android users happens with pretty much every platform. Go to IGN or sites like that. Whenever I see one of those comments I can't help but wonder how's the life of the guy behind it. An online psychologist could become rich in a matter of seconds.
Wow. I've never seen this game before. And I'm super excited! However, not sure if I'll be able to put time into with Dragon Quest VIII consuming my time right now. But, might just put it on my phone anyway!
