Forgot how godam punishing this game can be!!Although I am loving the touch controls,makes spinning the camera view round a piece of cake. Will be trying out the ps3 controller on this later as well though.

For those using the Bow, anyone knows how to aim the bow while charging? I cant seem to scroll when holding down the charge
Good weapon, good armor = most important. Hermitaur suit or highly empowered Kut-Ku does the job and ensures that you're still alive after he hits you. Weapon... I'd use a cleaver. Stay to his back at first and cut that damn tail off. This decreases his spin attack range signifficantly, so that you can just hop away when he launches that. Then go for his FACE, it's his main weakness. Circle with him and stay on the side of him to avoid most attacks. Important: learn about his openings (after he finished an attack or that roar blast or even while he taunts). If such a window for an attack opens, move to his front and punch his face with all you have. But don't be too greedy. Better just a few hits and then back to his side as risking too much. Oh, and NO flashbombs on a tigrex! Flashed tigrex is extremely unpredictable. Uses random attacks and catch you off guard, so learn to predict his attacks when he is NOT flashed. It also helps to use a large barrel bomb+ on a sleeping tigrex. Just blast him with the big momma and a few small barrel bombs before cutting him into nice pieces.
What weapon type are you using? For general tips against a tigrex: 1. Always roll to your right (Tigrex's left). Majority of Tigrex's attacks has a safe spot in front of his left leg (which is on your right). 2. Flash bombs are ok when he isnt in rage mode. 3. Tigrex's weakness is mainly his head. This is where we'll focus most attacks. For heavy, single hitting weapons like Hammers, GS, LS and HH, we can hit the head as he turns toward you and roll out, just before he attacks. For faster weapons, there are fewer openings to deal damage to the head, so you can attack the hind legs as well. 4. Sticking close to tigrex can minimize the chances of him using his charging attacks. 5. When he is in rage mode, if he does the leaping attack twice in a row, he will taunt after that. Good time to attack the tail, since you probably arent positioned to hit the face anyway because of how much ground tigrex covers when he leap-attacks. GS can hit the face as he turns around though, and the hammers can spin>superpound him during those that sequence.

He uses swords (LS) and staves, iirc. So the Eager Cleaver would be the very best choice. That sword finishes a Trigrex quickly.
^Agreed. For LS, at that point i believe Eager Cleaver is the best option. With LS, the best option is to stay close to his face so he doesnt use the charging attacks.
You can also hack away at his left arm. That way he trips over and gives you more dps to his head and tail if you want
I really hope they end up making MHtri or MH4 for the iphone instead. I mean I would love to have this, but the other two are more new and better playing wise.
