Yeah I know it's possible. Im just not as well-versed with longswords. My best time's just a few seconds over 10 mins which is pretty close, but i average around 11 mins. Problem is i get hit a lot when using longswords. LOL
Just thought I would drop this link by here: http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-3ds/consoles/nintendo-new-3ds-xl-monster-hunter-4-edition-gamestop-exclusive/119889
I haven't stepped into console gaming since the PS1 since I prefer a machine that doesn't game alone but would also work for productivity and media. The 3DS is actually worth the purchase for MH4U alone. But well, my wife would kill me if I got one lol. So sticking to iOS gaming. But I'd be telling a lie if I didn't say I really want this game
Plus, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the TA Forums Game of the Year 2014, and also backed by TA's 5-star review. So if people are going to visit TA, i dont see any reason why they shouldnt pick the game up when they come to TA to ask if the game is worth picking up.
Yeah a few of my friends already pre-ordered MH4U 3DSxl bundle. Im tempted, but ive decided to stick to iOS gaming. Dont really need a new reason stay home some more. LOL.
Yeah, I think my wife wouldn't mind a bit if I upgraded our phones... But if I got another console just for this game, it'd be a hard pill for her to swallow. But I can dream. Maybe I'll just get a new phone case that is MH themed...
I dont think so. I read somewhere a long time back that Capcom had some sort of contract to make the Nintendo MH titles exclusive to them. I think that was back when MH was first released for the wii, but im not sure. If anything, maybe MHP3 could make it to iOS, but i dont think it was released outside of JP.
Yeah, I agree. I've been wanting to get MH3 for my PS3, but not knowing Japanese has stopped me from ordering it! I'll probably pick up the original MH for PS2 someday, though. Really wish more Monster Hunter was available to English speakers here in America... on NON-Nintendo consoles. I just don't like their titles being exclusive to their consoles. So I haven't bought their consoles since the first DS. Plus the DS feels so gimmicky to me when they make it look like the two screens are showing one thing like a website or a cutscene, and it should clearly be all on one big screen. Eh, I'm just getting bitter because I can't get it. hahaha
You said exactly what I was going to say, heh. My only apprehension with MH4U is all the armor based on other games that I keep reading about. While I absolutely love Metroid, I just don't think it fits into the MH world. And stuff like Mega-man armor for felynes just seems to be too much to me. I know it's still MH, but with all the crossover content, I'm worried that the direction of the series might be taking a side step that could take away from the overall experience. Or perhaps I'm just being too uptight about it. I won't likely get a new DS, anyway, but still...
It's basically a promotion. MH is so popular in Japan that other games or companies pay MH just so MH can add something ingame to make people aware of their existence. Back on the PSP, there were JUMP monsters who gave out pirate tickets (i think that's from Shonen Jump's One Piece), and then there's the Metal Gear costume and bowguns. Im sure Megaman and Metroid wont be the last either.
That much is obvious, thanks. -_- The point of my concern was that the addition of the crossover stuff would affect the overall theme and feel of the game. If I jumped online and joined a group only to find a team of Samus Aran lookalikes, it would make the MH world feel less like the MH world and more like a video game. It breaks the immersion, I guess is what I'm trying to say.
I see. My first MH game was Tri on the Wii, and I don't think it had any promotions like that, so this is all new to me. I guess it is what it is. Am I the only one who doesn't like the idea of these crossover promos? I read somewhere that MH4U will have a bunch of different Capcom stuff in it, like Ken and Ryu outfits, Resident Evil stuff, etc. I haven't investigated enough to know how much is true and how much is only rumor, but I just find the idea to be rather off-putting. Maybe it's just me. *shrug*
