HR2!!! Note to the newer MHers: don't try and farm below 3 star quests. None of the rare stuff drops on 2 or 1 star quests. Still enjoying game. Thinking of switching to long sword though for cutting tails.
Is this game in English or Japanese? Nowhere in the description does it mention what language it's in, yet seeing some posts the game is in Japanese??
Just saying, as an groceries end hammer user, that most monsters take a lot of damage from the head. Also, since monsters turn to face you all the time, you will be running around in circles a lot if you go for tails with cutting weapons. Hammers are also great at breaking stuff. I think there are more things you can break with a hammer than with a sword.
For new players I would also recommend buying the battle armor from the cat merchant. It offer decent protection and attack up and faster weapon sharping. With gems it can also give extra health. I used it all the way to tigrex. And it is very cheap and easy to get the whole set. The only problem monster is khezu because of the negative lightning resist. Course khezu is super easy using bowgun with fire bullets and the gunner battle armor.
Hi everyone! Just have a quick question for all of you. is this game complete with all armors and weapons found in the PSP version? I have the original PSP game and played over 1000 hours and had most of the end game equipments. Just want to know if I can make my beloved Rajang armor and King Attilart Sword here too. And of course, the chance to fight G-rank white fatalis again. Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks and warm regards to all.
I'm pretty sure everything is in this game except some of the promotion armor. I think EP knows exactly what those are. But in that case, the game has 99% of the original PSP game I believe. After comparing them both, this is the definitive version imo. WAY better controls and INCREDIBLE graphics. It's my most played game on my iphone.
Everything that comes with the PSP version is here. Most of the DLC from the PSP version is also present, including the Unique Lavasioth Armor. What's missing here are the JUMP promotion DLC which include a few quests (jump teo, jump tigrex, etc) and the unique jump equips that come with them. The iOS version is also missing the Metal Gear crossover.
Awesome. I could do without those DLC quests. Ty for the info. Cheers mates! Here's to putting a few thousand hours to this game again. This will be a hell of a ride.
Capcom is pretty awesome with these ports (Phoenix Wright, Mega Man X, Monster Hunter). I'd give my first born for a "decent" full port of Resident Evil 4! RE 5 might be too large a file, but RE4 is the superior game regardless. If Capcom is looking for cash, they should make a controller or iCade style kiosk stand with six buttons and port some classics and some real Street Fighter games. iOS 8 Metal can make anything possible, video game dreams can become reality!
If what you mean is making a full port with all buttons pasted on an iPhone/iPad's screen, it's not gonna happen. A game needs to be playable without a controller, not only for balance's sake but also because otherwise it wouldn't pass Apple's review process, and a 6 button fighter just wouldn't work. They would need to keep doing the controls like in Volt and SFxT Mobile.
Guys i have a critical question. On iOS8, will this work with SteelSeries Stratus? EDIT: Found this: http://afterpad.com/post/97900929220/ios8-bluetooth-mfi-controller-compatible-games Says iOS8 affected the performance and isnt working properly. Looks like i'll be stuck with iOS7 a bit longer.
I was so excited for this game to come out, and I still havent even played it since release lol. Can I switch between devices easily?
There's no cloud saves, to my knowledge. So, to go back and forth it would require using a computer file exploring program like PhoneView or if your devices are jailbroken, then you could use iFile to email your save file to your self, save it, and replace it in the correct folder. Short answer, no you can't switch easily. I only play on my iPhone.
There's a FAQ on the first page that'll show you how to transfer saves to another iOS device. It's pretty easy too.
Hi everyone, I never played Monster Hunter games and i need to know which version are better to solo experience - Vita - iPad Mini 1 with Touchscreen And if i want to try Multiplayer... Still many players Online?
Yeah, many of us occasionally helps people online... I played with my ipad mini, and it was a blast!! Monster Hunter is soloable.. All quest is easier when solo because the monsters HP are less.. If you never played monster hunter, I think vita and ios will only differs a little... You'll get used to the controls after playing for a while..
