Just took down the G-rank Rathian HR8 on my 2nd attempt. I swear she's a LOT easier than the Rathalos. Now currently stuck on the dual Shogun Cenataur mission. Will try farming Rajang to get the Beast thunder bow, since those Cenataurs are weak to thunder. But maaaan, farming Rajang..... Just thinking about it makes me shiver Edit: Just noticed that there ain't no Rajang mission on HR7 and HR8. Tsk
The rajang mission is on G*** The final invitation (dual rajang) Child of destruction (golden rajang) About ceanataurs, i prefer using hammer or GS... Charging far away from them works like a charm
Search for "Athena's ASS mhfu" on Google, it helps you finding all the possible sets for the skills you choose, there are filters too, so it can show you the accessible ones, depending on your hr, weapon slots, or stuff like that
I dont think there is a combination for that specific set. The best one would be HGE, RA+2, S+1 which also requires no weapon slots. Forgot how many slots White Fatalis armor has, but stellar hunter skill gives both Attack Up Large and Sharpness+1. Not sure if it has enough slots for HGE. Maybe with a 3-slot weapon, but that would mean a subpar weapon, in which case RA+2 above will be better with a high-tier weapon.
Since you main bows, you should have a good time against rajang, even in HR9. You'd probably get kitty carted a few times, but im sure you'll get by fine Im pretty sure you've bowed down the high rank Rajang, and it really isnt much different, except he one shots you with almost all attacks

Just unlucky. Desire sensor on overdrive Keep doing the dual red khez and you'll eventually get them.

Is there any way to lock on to enemies? Also, is there any way to use a ps3 controller without jailbreaking your device? I'm playing on my 5s Sorry if these have been asked before, just started playing and jumping into the thread!
There is a small figure of your enemy on the left side of the screen tap on it if you want to lock on your enemy and tap anywhere on screen if you wanna lock again. There is no way to use a ps3 controller without jail breaking.
^this is true! although you can only lock onto 'boss' monsters. There is no way to lock on to 'minion' monsters
Thanks for the help guys! Might have to pick up a controller this weekend as I'm playing on my phone and its a little cramped I have never played a monster hunter game before and I think I like the bow the best, or gun lance. Any really good guides for either weapon I should be checking out?
Is it just me or lances getting the least love out of the weapon types in this thread? I get it isnt as flashy as any other weapon type since all it does is poke low and poke high with the occasional running charge, but it's actually pretty strong on its own, and is a pretty deep weapon to get into which is pretty satisfying once you know the different monster how-tos.
Good news about the "weird" / "unpopular" weapons is that you'll always be the cool dude in the room. I main with the longsword but if I random match, 70% of the time, someone in the room has a longsword :\
Yeah, I used to feel pretty cool whenever I was playing with random people. I used to use Hunting Horn all of the time and I'd always be the only horn guy. It was fun buffing when I could.
I'm sure you'd be a pro with any weapon Everyone loves hunting horns. I'm sure if anyone was on a deserted Monster island and had to pick one teammate, they'd all pick the guy with the horn!
