Soooo...I've got the Phantom Butterflies for my Juggernaut but where is everyone finding their Mellanje Ore? I've only found 1 of the 5 needed and I'm not sure where I found that one. I've been pick axing the G-Rank Volcano area and my fully upgraded Pokke Farm area for a day or two... Thanks for any assistance.
I would still suggest the farm. Just keep doing a quick return quest and going to the last mining point. Also use large barrel bomb + at the cat mine and you should be able to get some if you're lucky enough!
Hey guys, So I'm on the 9 star quests in high rank/Nekoht (still low HR, looking to get to the tavern after I am totally finished with Nekoht's quests). I've started to farm for the brainstems I need to make the dark ankator armor, but I'm starting to wonder if that armor is worth all the trouble to get it. What's the best armor set for the end of high rank/beginning of G-rank? Right now I have Ceanataur S gemmed with some extra attack. I main longswords, and also use duals and hammers sometimes. I have bows too, but I want to focus on a blademaster armor for ankator. Also is there a way to make the narcacuga armor feasible? The non-X version helm looks so badass. I would have it already if I didn't care about losing my sharpness +1 from the Ceanataur armor.
High Rank Narga Armor isnt that good. Heavy Bowgun users may find it more useful, since Evade Inc is pretty useful to them. Akantor Armor is pretty badass looking, and has great armor skills attached to it. They also are key to making some of the best armor combos in the game. For high rank though, the best armor for a blademaster would be Ceanataur S. Followed closely by Garuga set with the Garuga Head for early high grade earplugs. High Rank Monodevil set is also one of the best high rank armor, but to maximize its use you need to abuse ADR+2 which requires your HP to constantly be at 40% of max to get the damage bonus.
I'm currently trying to farm Akantor for the suit... Exact-Psience, what armor combo where you referring to that included the Akantor armor?
Actually, I think I may have just answered my own question: There's this combo: Kaiser Crown X Ceanataur Mail U Ceanataur Braces U Ceanataur Tasset Z Dark Akantor Hessian Skills w/gems would be: Reckless Abandon+3 Sharpness +1 Sharp Sword [edit] I think this set needs 1 weapon gem slot tho...which usually isn't a problem.
The early on Garuga set is good, from 4 star elder. If you're a blademaster in the lower rank, the blademaster set with the mask will last you for quite a long time until you get to or decide to use Ceanataur S. Los Sol is also preferable to use with Garuga mask or the whole set is fine, depends on what you're going for. But if you want HGE and AuM get the Sol with mask as it's better than having RA early since thats based on weapon damage with chances, not to mention RA isn't that effective for weapons such as GS that aren't near the 1k damage range anyways compared to AuM/AuL. If you want AuL, just get the whole set of SoL.
That is one, and there's also a few combinations that give RA+2, HGE, Sharpness+1, which is probably the best all-round armor set in the game. That said, it can also be RA+3, earplugs, sharpness+1, or any of those replacing sharpness+1 to sharpsword.
I'm not telling you off, but you'd have better luck getting partners in the tavern thread- it's dedicated to matching up people
Is it really not that good? I think wide roll is great for any character that doesn't block as they need to rely on rolling just about as much as hitting. The rolling has saved me from damage about 80% of the time. I am also swapping out the Z helmet for the cooler looking S helmet.
It's not bad, it does have its uses, but it becomes a crutch. Once you get access to much better items, you'd either be stuck with G-Narga armor, or anything else that you can have evade inc on, or risk being mauled. It is pretty much one of the go-to skill for heavy bowguns though, that is certain. It pays to learn fighting monsters without the armor skills that can change playstyle, unless you want to stick to that set. Then you'd realize some of them arent really good if you know how-to without them.
Is there any way to transfer your save data? I'm thinking of starting this on my 5s and transferring to my iPad once it's replaced, is that possible though?
Yes it is. Use iMazing, iFunbox or whatever explorer app. Navigate to the documents folder in the MHFU app and copy the "savegame.dat" file iirc. Plug in the iPad, navigate to the same folder and paste the previously copied file
