Level 4 elder quest as in 4*.

And as for farming armor it can get a bit dull. I had to kill 3 yian Garuga, all with breaking ears, beak, back, and tail, before I could make a single piece of armor. And that single piece of armor is useless on its own. It took me about 9 of the suckers to make every piece. I like fighting Garuga but after the 4th time I got bored and had to fight something else.

Yeah, i know what you mean. 4-stars or rank 4 elder.

Farming for monster parts is different every time due to the randomness of each of the monsters, but yeah, it is a grind.

On the bright side, you always improve your game every run. :)

Do you have to group online to complete the game or get the good stuff? I've never played an MH game before.

No... Everything can be solo'd as i have. Of course it can be faster to farm monsters with a group, and can be really fun, but singleplayer can be just as fun, and actually improves your game a lot more in general.

Thanks! Do you play with a controller or touch controls? Is there much of a story?

Wanting to hit the buy button but just had a few concerns.

Well, you don't have much a story, is incredible bare bones. But who cares, the hunting is fun. And this game (if you like it) will last you longer than 90% of the games you've ever played, guaranteed. Probably the best investment you'll have made.

I don't use controllers for iOS games but this game has some of the best controls for any iOS port I've ever played. Many will agree with this, it works even way better than a PSP and some say better than a DS.

+1 for the controls. This game has IMHO the best on screen touch controls in iOS.
    @Lawliet
Yeah man we'll rank up to 9 hopefully together. Can't wait to get home this weekend and sync all my stuff back including MHFU. I went to Starbucks and tried downloading MHFU but i just remembered my savefile lol. So i downloaded Battleheart Legacy instead, should tide me over til i get home

WHAT HOW COULD YOU!? JK BHL is a great game as well. (though to be honest I liked the original a lot more).

So how's the screen feeling? Still kinda big? I just bought Banner Saga and I'm actually going to get a refund because it's way too small for the iphone 6 lol. I can't imagine playing that on a iphone 5.. I don't think you can even tap the interface.

Lol well I ain't got anything else to play so it's BHL coz of the cloud saves. Can't wait to get back home and restore this bad boy properly. And regarding the screen size, yep you definitely get used to it and it's gorgeous! Also, I'll be trying out Baldur's Gate too. Been playing it on my 5S and well...i think it's not meant for that screen size. Still, I'm excited to play MHFU on the 6 especially since I'm on the village 9* urgent quest! I wanna see how the Akantor pops out on the bigger screen! Hellz yeah! That fight is gonna be EPIC!

Haha, yeah! Not trolling you, definately. I have a really good memory when it comes to written things and I can remember lots of things I've once read.
And it's fun to see your progress and how good you are today, while remembering your "bumpy" ride in the beginning. From "meh" to "yay".
Comparing those statements from month ago with the things you are saying today is really exciting. It like watching Luke Skywalker growing from a normal boy to Jedi Master. zzzsssshhhhhooo WhoooomWhoooooom. ;)

Playing together is a nice idea. We should go on a few hunts in the next days.

    Hey guys,
I just finished my first Blangonga in the village 4* urgent quest and so many possibilities open up, damn.
Do you often use the second mine or is it more a waste of bombs? (at the pokke farm)
What new armor should I go for now?
The feeling you get when you kill a difficult monster is amazing.

    Greetings

    Ah, a fellow German.
Go for Ceanataur armor, it's not hard to acquire and should be good up to the 5-star village quests.
If you need help farming something, give me a notice.

The bombs.... are a waste, imho. Mine after every third quest and use a large barrel bomb+.

Aww what an adorable... Thing. Is that like portable food that you can eat anytime?

Yeah we totally should play. I'm the opposite of you. I'm very forgetful. And luke Skywalker you say? What if you're actually watching an Anakin? Oooo

Cha-cha angry! Lawlietalaka no thinky-thinky about mighty shakalaka warrior!

FYI that is a shakalaka. You will fight some in the future, but in MHTri you get one as a companion (like a felyne). In MH4 you get two!
I prefer cha cha over felynes though because you can customise cha cha with different masks. He also talks to you, which is a nice change from the endless "Nya! Meow! meyooooooow" these cats give me.
