PS3 controller with Controllers4All JB app... I've tried and tried to play with touchscreen but I just can't manage. Kinda wish I was as good as some with the touchscreen when I don't have my PS3 controller with me but damn, it's soooo frustrating for me with touchscreen. So much so that I probably wouldn't play this game without a controller.
Touch screen here. Nothing will replace the FEEL of physical buttons, but the touch controls simply work.
Touchscreen but am open to trying it with a controller. Only if a full size controller finally comes out. For longer gaming sessions, I want to see how it is playing on the tv. I agree with everyone though, the touch controls are near perfect if not perfect so I'd be happy sticking with it.
I've been using touchscreen all the way, and I'm right before hitting G-rank. Becomes second nature after a while. No big issues with the game; just some minor gripes. Most notable is when going to use an item in the heat of action, I sometimes make a swiping motion rather than tap. So I may miss my window of using an item. The one other control nit is with the case that I use for the iPhone. It's bulky, and the raised bezel can sometimes get in the way for downward swipe attacks. It's not usually a problem and can always fix by popping the case off for extended play sessions.
I use touchscreen and it's completely fine. My little nitpick about the game, and it isn't necessarily an issue, is that you can't cancel setting up a trap. I know you're supposed to time when to use it, but there are definitely some "oh crap" moments when they monster starts charging at you while you fumble on the ground. Either that or as soon as I begin the animation the monster starts limping to another area
Ahahaha! I remember a few times online where a noob'll really force laying a trap down not checking first if it's his turn to be targetted by the monster
After an intense battle i finally beat the Ukanlos! Well after dying 2 times By the way i always use touchscreen. The only thing i hate when im using touchscreen in mhfu, is when im trying to use items like potion and then it makes me use another item like mega demondrug, when i already use that. But apart from that its ok. Just double tap the item that you want to use.
From my Tri days I would always feel bad for the guy that placed a trap only for the team to kill the monster
Touchscreen too. Cause I can't bare to part cash for the overly-priced MFI controllers in the market.
Just apply an anti-transpirant deo on your hands, especially on the fingertips. With the reduction of the activity of the sweat glands, your fingers will keep staying dry and smooth. P.S.: DON'T APPLY IT TO THE TOUCHSCREEN.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was trying to capture a Shogun crabby, and as I was laying down a trap my cat ran up and delivered the finishing blow. Then, the very next fight, he runs up to the Shogun and smacks him right where I had placed two LBB+, but before I had a chance to back off. Everyone EXCEPT the Shogun died. Mike
Whoa... is this true? Are most deodorants anti-transpirant? I have a bunch of spray ones at home but I'm guessing you mean the stick kind. If that seriously works, I'd probably use it all the time. As dumb as it sounds, I have to rewash my hands every 30 minutes ish if playing a touchscreen game because my hands get oily so quick it's annoying. Though if I put these on my hand, it would eventually get onto the touchscreen now wouldn't it? Not sure if I wan't to cover the screen so I can't see anything at all... lol I've been considering getting anti-glare protector for the next iphone when I get it but I hate having a mildly blurred screen. I wish I was born without so much oil
No, no, it really works. I've seen this advice before on the tA forums, if I remember correctly, in fighting game threads, like KoF or Street Fighter or another thread as well. Try using a neutral anti-transpirant, or you have the perfume smell always around, especially when your hands get warmer. Just wash your hands, dry them carefully, then apply the anti-transpirant and wait a minute or two for the anti-transpirant to soak into the skin and do its work. As soon as it is soaked in, you won't leave traces on your touchscreen. There are anti-transpirants especially for hands, you could check Amazon for them. You can get them (without perfume) as spray or antiperspirant cream / lotion. edit: yeah, just found it in the touchArcade archives: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=53631
I've been using hammers for a while and I'd like to share my opinion about them First they are the single most damaging weapon type in the game and you'll feel it when you're playing even compared to greatswords they have better DPS and you'll definitely realize this when you're using one. But the thing that really makes them a great weapon class is ease of use you're objective is simple you'll want to KO the monster and in order to do that you'll have hit it's head and you're strategy doesn't change from monster to monster that much simply 1- Hit it when it turns 2- Hit it when it staggers 3- Hit it till it dies Now they are a lot like greatswords in this aspect but one thing makes them a better weapon which is mobility. A greatsword user will always try to sheathe his weapon after hitting the monster which takes around 1-1.5 seconds and leaves you open for a hit or wasting an opening whereas using a hammer you can take advantage of mobility and just land another attack. Also they have more base damage than greatswords which is also a big advantage. This weapon has only one flaw which is you can't cut tails with it and when you think of all this I think it's safe to say for one more time this is the strongest weapon type to just pick up and play. And I'd suggest anyone to stay away from greatswords unless they are experienced with that monsters. Because you're gonna get hit more and getting hit hurts badly.
^Zactly. Hammers are the strongest class to play, but you missed one flaw of hammers in addition to not being able to cut tails... No block, means you need to have earplugs, or godly dodge timing against certain monsters, or get roar combo'd easily. As for the last 2 sentences though, i was using purely GS and completed everything, learning to MH the hard way. It did pay off though, as after the GS the transition to all other weapon classes was pretty easy. If you want to discuss numbers, the GS actually can potentially be stronger in damage dealt per hit, but the fact for GS is that there arent any effective combos, unlike the Hammer's triple pound, or its superpound, or even the double strike (lv2 charge). The GS lv3 charge is the strongest single hit in the game, but there isnt a lot of openings for that compared to the wide variety of combos that the hammer has.
