Download the update with iTunes and install it with iFunbox. Make a backup of the Documents folder just in case something goes wrong.

    Guess what? Classified.
    Classified.
So the old documents folder is compatible with other updates?

The older version should always be compatible with newer ones.

What happens if you do a newer version with an older version? Game crash?

Depends on how the changes in the new version affects the save file. In MHFU, i dont see a lot of changes that can affect backwards compatibility for older save file versions.

I'm about to buy this one, but there's not been any kind of sale on this yet.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying full price for apps, I bought Bioshock on launch day, but if there's a sale due I do enjoy a bargain.

Honestly i dont see this going on sale for a long time. Every person i know who has played MHFU on the psp before that has an iDevice bought this game on the first week of release. That's a huge percentage of those i know already. Imagine that kind of high percentage to the rest of the world that made MHFU one of the best PSP games ever released.

In my opinion, Bioshock on iOS is, on all angles where they can be compared, inferior to MHFU.

Agree on that. Compared to MHFU, Bioshock is kinda...well not that good a port with the graphics, framerate and everything, but it still is a great game nonetheless.

Cool, I'll pick it up then. As I said, I'm not one of these folk who deliberately wait for sales, I just thought I'd ask since I've not got it and it's been out a while.

My favorite iOS game. It just topped TWEWY and that game was amazing. Though I have a separate list of my favorite iOS original games that aren't ports.

Can I get a poll of who's playing this game with a controller or the touchscreen? I've been playing a lot of MH3U on my 3DS lately. I tried playing a little bit of this yesterday on my 5S with no controller and I have to say I didn't really like the control that much. Maybe I'm just too used to physical buttons.

If you are using a controller which one are you using?

^Touchscreen here. Was a huge MHFU player back on the PSP. I find the translation into touchscreen is perfect.

Touchscreen for me too. Love the freedom of not having to carry around a controller and the touchscreen hasn't done me wrong yet.

Touchscreen. I have no interest in controllers for mobile games.

I bought a steelseries stratus for this game and i do prefer the controller over touchscreen as it allows quicker reactions etc, only downside to the controller is the price

Touchscreen. Best touchscreen controls I've ever used. However my hands get oily quickly so after a little while I may miss some swiping actions because they won't register over a dirty screen :\

touchscreen as well. I also don't understand why there are controllers for ios games. I think people, and game devs, are missing the point about touch controls- you're supposed to make games for them or take them into account when porting, not try to shoehorn in physical controls. also, as a mobile device, needing a controller all the time is a big hassle

Because if you have big hands, touch screen controls suck.
