Finally beat the Khezu using the GS in training mode! Maaaaan that was reaaaalllly frustrating! Nearly 50 tries before i beat that mofo
I think the most difficult training quest is lancing a Rajang, especially if you are new to lancing. On the bright side, you dont need it to get Barrage Piercing.
Wow, I just found out that lances are very fun to use! Killing a Bulldrome in 4 minutes is an achievement for me.
you can also just come to a full stop before releasing the charge. You'll do a super pound, which does a lot of damage in a short period of time, and you can roll away right after it. Good for attacking enemies with a small break window of some kind.
Keep in mind that if you opt for the sion, make sure you do the golf swing because otherwise you will have to suffer a very large window of getting a grip back on your hammer.
Hey guys, I'd like to know what your ratio of quests played offline to online is. Eg if you play about 3 quests offline for every quest you play online, your ratio is Offline 3:1 Online Just curious as to how much you guys play multiplayer
any weapon recommendation and tips for fighting low rank dual rajang? currently using devil slicer but any weapon class is fine. edit: is the rajang armor worth it?
There is no low rank rajang armor. The dual Rajang from the elder are actually high ranked, but with lower HP. That Rajang armor is pretty good, but mostly with Sharpness+1 skill it has. The Adrenaline+2 skill is very strong if you can manage NEVER GETTING HIT. Basically, you need to purposefully drop your HP to less than 40% of your current total HP, in order to activate Adr+2, which provides a small defense boost, but a very significant damage boost. If you can manage never getting hit, then Rajang Armor is really really good. If you main hunting horns, then it makes Rajang armor pretty good since it has innate Horn skill activated. Else, better to just go for Ceanataur S armor, which you can gem to have Sharpness+1, SSI, and attack up. Sure you get a minus to your defense, but that is still better than having to run around with less than 40% HP just to get the damage boost off of the rajang armor. As for fighting rajang, as Edmilan mentioned, ranged weapons (especially the bows) make for a very easy rajang fight as long as you can manage to keep him at medium distance (about 3 to 5 rolls away), and keep circling him left when he attacks. With longswords, try to attack him when he is turning twice, but roll just right after he finishes his second turn animation, coz he attacks quick. Rolling under his belly is actually the smart place to be at since only his belly flop really hits you from underneath him. If you arent that confident hitting the face, the tail is a good target as well. The arms take less damage, but flinching him there can knock him down which gives a huge opening for combos when he falls over.
Im at about 10:1, offline to online. Getting online is usually a waste of time for me. More than a couple times i've spent over an hour just trying to get connected to rooms which are never found.
Bowguns are not as effective as bows when it comes to fighting rajang because of the "always circling left" movement. Bows can abuse this by using that time to charge the weapon. In general, Heavy Bowguns is one of the best damage dealers in the game.
Psience, our resident expert , generally speaking, is the bow gun able to take down every type of monster, even if it's not preferred? Or are some monsters just impossible with one? The reason I ask is because I've clocked in 139 hours and I've used the bow guns only in the beginner weapon training missions. I use all the melee weapons but have avoided BGs because I didn't like the aiming mechanism, wasn't feeling the crafting of a whole new gunner armor set, and find melee weapons fun to use, but may try to broaden my horizons and give them a go sometime. I'm a BG noob.
