Good job man and nice pics. Not sure how you got your felyne to pose so nicely for the top pic...kitty treats? Mine is always running around causing mischief kinda like my daughter when it's picture time
My technique, sometimes I walk away a bit to position the felyne further from the monster but usually I just keep on pressing both the power & home buttons and pick out the best one.
Thankyou for you contribution to the thread, valued member of the toucharcade forums! I'm sorry to say that your trolling is wasted here- you're not going to get hate and flame because we're all secretly undercover Canadians.
Tigrex (5 star absolute power urgent quest) has officially become the bane of my existence. I cleared the same quest (and more difficult ones) online, but I've been stuck on the village elder version for nearly 2 weeks now. I'm currently using Khezu shock GS and full Ceantaur armor set with defense+ attachments. I bring bombs, traps, meat, etc. Any tips? It's getting to the point where I don't even want to keep playing because its so frustrating.
I heard people using the devil slicer or the higher tier version of it at least. It has high electricity and is a long sword so greater range along with more mobility.
Yes, this. After failing a few times with my go-to Lance, i made the rare weapon switch to LS (Had Eager Cleaver, the one right before Devil Slicer) and got him on 2nd try. Utilize the mobility and roll everywhere. It was heaps easier. Good luck man, Tigrex is the next big step next to Khezu. So try a different weapon out and see. You'll get him.
GS are one of the best weapons to use against Tigrex, but it requires correct timing on landing Lv 3 GS charges on to the head with certain weapon to flinch it in one hit, therefore giving enough time to get to safety during the flinch. There is also the angle slash sniping technique in which you do an unsheathed attack from behind tigrex during his turning animation, and will land the attack in his face, while letting you roll to be in front of Tigrex's left forearm which is a pretty safe spot to roll away from. Made this quick video last time to show how a GS battle with Tigrex usually goes.
Oh no, I'm at the 4* Village quests too so I'll probably encounter this soon! Better prepare! In addition to Pscience's and the others' help - I always find the Training Hall very useful. You get to practice on the monster and learn their patterns, and you get to try out diff. Weapons to see what works best for you. However some monsters dont come out for training until you beat them once, like Plesioth. Hopefully this is not the case for Tigrex.
I just ordered an android console mainly to play this with proper buttons. As I really miss playing it. Am I insane? Quite possibly
Officially it's only available for iOS unless you use an emulator but then lose the extremely easy to use multiplayer.
Mene, I have had to change my iPad Mini's Screen Protector to a "Clear Matte" (the SGP one is pretty good) instead of the usual "Crystal Clear" one in order to lessen/smoothen the "friction" I have when my fingers slide through the buttons and visual touchpad - just to play this game better! So you're definitely not insane. Oh and by the way, Monster Hunter told me to send you this message: "It misses you too."
