Thank you! I actually used weps and armor from 9* quests (Narga) to beat them lol. If Lao is Lawliet's waterloo, this one had to be mine
10 points in Artisan activates Sharpness+1. It adds visible sharpness to the weapon's sharpness bar, usually of the higher sharpness color. BEST single skill to have on blademasters. Additional sharpness means less weapon sharpening. Higher tier colors provide a higher damage modifier (based on the damage formula).
Woh nice! I forgot i was supposed to make a video of this. Sorry. Finally figured out how easy it could be to bow down Rajang?
Yesterday I played a gathering-quest in the jungle and realized that at some point all the monster had been replaced by other monsters. For example the area usualy containing Velociyprey was suddenly inhabitated by those pesky Thief-Cats... Why does that happen?
It happens when you killed the monsters in an area... sometimes other monster will spawn. This is usually true in gathering missions i think.
Another really important thing here is some monsters like Gravios and Basarios will deflect (yellow spark and stumble) weapons below a certain sharpness, so if you can get your weapons to the point where they will penetrate (I think blue/white+) its gonna make things a lot easier.
Hmm.. I've never gotten the harp yet. And unlocking artisan gems is ridiculously hard. They definitely want you to work for it.
What's the armor in the opening cinematic? also, when can I start getting the materials for artisan gems? I just made HR2! (Lol I know it's taking me forever, but I think I've got the hang if it now!)
The very first one is low rank Rathian set. Second one shown (when he's mining) is steel set i believe. The cinematic was a flashback of how he got the rathian set when he was hunting with that guy wearing the gypceros armor and the gunner whose armor i cant determine. LOL I dont play ranged much to determine all the armors just from looking at them.
Hi Pscience, can I ask your advise on possible upgrade paths for a beginner like me for the Lance and GunLance weapons? I've been on the Paladin Lance and Steel GunLance ones for some time now and still haven't got the materials for significant upgrades. What's the next "level up" for me with regards these two? Paladin Lance > ? > ? Steel GunLance > ? > ?
Hey pre... Try the wiki... Not too familiar with starting lances since i usually switch to playing other weapon classes after i hit G-Rank. Im a hammer and GS user mainly. Sorry cant help much. I can tell you that in the end game (g-rank that is) the best lances to work for are the Black Diablos lance, Narga Lance or Gaebolg for Raw, Kirin Lance for thunder, Rathalos Lance for fire, and black Fatalis lance for dragon. For gunlances, i usually just stick to raw with them, and my favorites are Narga GL and Gravios GL. Also work for the Darkness Lance (made of vespoid and queen vespoid materials) and dragonwood GL, as those are invaluable in multiplayer games.
Thanks man - I was hoping for a best direction kind of advice (similar to the Velociprey > Battle > Kut-ku > Hermitaur armor set advice that's very useful for beginners) but do understand that yeah you might not be the best source right now as you're very high level. Just thought you were a good source based from that very good write-up you did on the Lances and GunLances a few posts back. Honestly I have not decided myself on what weapon class to focus on. I have crafted all worthy beginner weapons for all classes, and let me just say that it took a lot of materials to do so! At least, I'm able to test them against the early 1-3 star monsters and figure out what to do with my life.
