Hahaha I know you had it in you man! As for me, after days of being 1-shotted by those OP electric balls I FINALLY killed Khezu! The normal mode Khezu was very doable but once he enters Rage mode thats when things get trickier.. Whew!
Is it just me or I find the Training practice missions much more doable with the ranged weapons.. I knew I should have went with Ranged instead of all these Lances, Gunlances, and Hammers!!!
Thanks Vovin. That answered even more questions than I had. Problem is, that I don't know the Skills and what they do exactly. It's my first MH and after I chose to play with a LS (so you are right) I now have to find out what Skills aid my play style. I already thought about not putting my effort into some Armor with "Blocking" etc. but the sheer amount of Weapons and Armor-sets make it a tough decision. And I don't want to waste my precious materials only to find out that the set doesn't do me any good.
Thanks for the advice I uhm.. Have to admit I've never used power seeds or armour seeds (tbh I don't know what they are used for) but thanks for the LS advice.. I might just try upgrading it and see how it goes.
Besides bringing a few of each on every quest for a little boost, power seeds are great extra income! Plant them in between each quest, and it's an extra $3,000+ with fertilized rows after each quest!
Helpful tips thanks! I went the following route: Bought Battle armor, farmed and crafted full Hermitaur which I have now. I skipped Kut Ku altogether. Daimyo Hermitaur was easier to farm for me. Plus Kut Ku ears are more rare and need them for two of the armor pieces. Reading various places online, the consensus was Battle--> Kut Ku--> Hermitaur--> Ceanataur or Garuga for starting out but I'm sure it's different for everybody.
Ah, whoops. I beat him with my thunder bow but it felt like it took forever! Phone was getting hot. I have yet to successfully melee a khezu, his close range electro charge just yells Shoot me! From a distance, while I rage impotently!
Hey guys newb question here, I just best lvl 1 giadrome but I want to farm him for materials and such! How do I fight him again and again? Thanks!
It's actually really easy with a LS. Just don't get greedy with your attacks, always position yourself so that you can dodge out of the way. Using your back slash is great for that. I beat the regular khezu with the Iron Katana, and the Red Khezu seemed ridiculously easy in comparison with my eager cleaver.
I started out using the hunter set and I'm having a really hard time upgrading to anything. I can't think of any skills that are worth replacing auto tracker. I was getting so tired of psychoserum chasing at the beginning of every hunt. I wish auto tracker didn't take 15 points though cause it makes it impossible to jewel into other sets.
Green Plesioth was such a pain but much easier than the first time I tried him. You do naturally get better at the game imo! All Elder 3-star quests clear. Onto the 4-star and online to boost my HR
Can anyone explain why the Giaprey armor set is less expansive and weaker in terms of armor defense than the Velociprey set...because is it just me or are the Velociprey fairly easy to kill? I mean, aren't they weaker than their icy counterparts? EDIT: Sry for the double post...
Yea! The learning curve on this game is awesome! I nearly quit altogether 3 times as I thought this game was impossible. I only didn't as I got Kut ku armour and bow and just started using the bow every boss. But then plesioth took me about 55mins to kill and about a million potions. Then green arrived and I wanted to kill myself lol! So I quit bow and got on the eager cleaver and munched him quite Easilly. So funny as bosses that seemed impossible have been dropping like flies now. And sword fighting under the bosses seemed impossible to me but now it's second nature! This game is perfection! 60hours in! Garuga down, shogun caenataur down, rathalos down, tigrex down lol! No other game comes close to the satisfaction you get from objective cleared when you slay a big ass boss!!!
I gave a little beginner's tip about this, actually. As a MH vet, I went for Velociprey/Velocidrome first, which in this game went to my advantage, as White Velociprey/Velocidrome (in this game Giaprey/Giadrome)were the harder monsters in MHF1. You can interchangeably fight Velociprey/Velocidrome with the same degree of difficulty as Giaprey/Giadrome, and come out with a stronger set of armor than the Giaprey Armor. Better yet, you only need to fight one Velocidrome for the entire set.
If you go onto the 2 star quests you can find the quest and play it as many times as you want, there should be a cleared sign next to the quest to help you find it. I would highly recommend the giaprey set as a good starter set and it should give you fair defence through the 2 star quests. Any of the prey sets are good for starting off.
Thank you sir! I think I'll craft (or buy?!) the Battle Armor first and will then switch to the Velociprey-set once I farmed the materials.
Swallow one Power Seed and you're getting a boost in Attack Power for a certain amount of time. Even longer effect when combined. Eat one Armor Seed and your Defense raises for a ahort period of time. Also combineable.
