omg .. im stuck at the two rajangs .. so hard to beat the first one any tips? i use true devil slicer and yian garuga armor.
You have a good armor. However, for weapon, you might want to switch up. The thing about dual Rajang (the non-DLC ones) is that you have to kill the first one before the time hits where the second one joins in (forgot the exact time). Rajang is somehow weak to ice (but not really that weak to it), so i suggest switching weapons to either Raw or Ice element. Raw deals good damage to the face and the tail, which is where you want to be hitting the most. One trick is to attack the arms instead, but it's a much slower process. Another tip i can give is to roll UNDERNEATH rajang always, after you attack, because it's just much safer there. When closing in to rajang, run towards your left. None of his attacks will hit you if you can maintain this run. This is why ranged weapons, most especially the bows, are retardedly simple to use against Rajang. Tha only thing you need to pay attention to is hitting your shots to the face. For meleeing, Rajang moves forward too much that he will almost always be using double turns to face you for his next attacks, which give you openings to hit him freely. LS is a decent weapon to use because you can use any timing for attacking as he turns, as long as you can roll underneath his right arm (rolling into the 10 o'clock angle). For hammers and GS more than anything, the timing a little more strict in order to hit the face, while other classes can go crazy on the other body parts. Eventually, you'll learn when to hit the face freely to deal the most damage and take out the first rajang before the second one arrives.
How do you kill a blangonga? I'm using a gunhammer prototype and I always get killed by him by the time he is limping. I have Kut Ku armour completed except for the helmet (need more ears).
With a hammer, easy way is to superpound the arms, and triple pound when he falls over. The more advanced tactic is to keep hitting his head by using Lv2 charges as Blang turns, and using superpound's shockwave to hit his face during double turns. These headshots eventually will inflict KO status which gives opening for 2 triple pounds. The tricky part is sticking to him since he moves around too much.
I mainly have a problem dodging him, is there any other that would better work against it? I have a fire SnS, Iron Katana Gosphol, and dual Axe blades.
You only need to avoid being in front of him to avoid 90% of his attacks, unless you are being greedy with attacks in which case he will hit you when you're still attacking after he completes his turn animations. The only attack that can potentially hit you when you are too close beside him are his slap attack which dont really do much damage. Any weapon type except the lance and gunlance are pretty easy against him. The only hard part with the Lance and Gunlance is that they have a harder time keeping up with Blang's movement.
I believe I remember reading somewhere that for maximum effectiveness one would need to hit the face for the attack to be effective, obviously not working lol. So as long as I avoid his back and front, I should be able to beat the Blangago right?
If you know how to not get hit, the face is the best way to deal the most damge. However, you should be able to beat him without hitting his face ever.
I'm also a hammer user mostly, but after many failed attempts I made a fire longsword(called Fall I think), beat him my first try. It's a little faster than the hammer which helped me roll away from his attacks.
I think I will try the elder lao again so I can make his dragon hammer. Then I can do the guild quest one easier so I unlock the elder dragon quests Then I can do the urgent azure lao with my previous experience. That's my master plan for now, but I have a feeling my plan will not go according to plan. So many plans...
Congrats man! May i make a suggestion to improve your damage? Im assuming you know these specifics already, but it may be informative to others who want to make the best of the GS as well. With the armor you are using (Los X) you already have Unsheathed Strike skill active, which guarantees a critical strike on unsheathed strikes, including unsheathed charged strikes (most damaging single hit, and it will crit), so the high affinity from Narga GS is negated since i assume you are sheathing almost every after an attack you make. I suggest getting purple sharpness weapon with a very high Raw, regardless of affinity since Unsheathed Crit will still guarantee crits on unsheathed strikes. That said, possibly the best weapon that will pair with Los X will be the Tigrex GS. Also, you might like this armor set: Los X Los X Los Soul Z Los X Los X Gemmed for: Atk Up Med, Unsheathed Crit and High Grade Earplugs. Keep on hunting!!
Well I managed to kill lao on my second try! I'm sure it was due to experience, as I managed to jump on his back (in the first quest I forgot about the first bridge and jumped on his head from the second bridge haha) and set off the bomb. I also managed to get more hits on his belly since I knew how to avoid his foot-wind. I've made his hammer now, but to upgrade it I need one more claw and blood. === I've collected 5 elder dragon bones now, so should I upgrade my kut-ku pick to hard bone hammer, or should I invest in something else?
Thanks for the suggestions @psience!!! I'm currently farming tigrex, and I just got the hvnlytigrexscale from the absolute power just now, and my Tigrex Supreme Sword is done!! Will try the HGE set you recommended!! And after that, I'll try making the King Atillart Sword
Where do i get the Narga brain stem? I've been farming Narga for sometime now with a few kills and always doing face/head damage but still nada. Is it a shiny drop? Or is it from training only?
Yeah... you can carve it from the tail, or you can just get it from rewards. Dual Narga gives these out a lot more common.
Wouldn't cutting off his tail be a form of decapitation? In the sense that his brainstem is in the tail, and then you cut it off, it would make sense that narga would instantly die without brain function. Sadly, MH doesn't work that way
Should I craft the hard bone hammer (no elder dragon bones required) or upgrade my kut-ku pick to hard bone hammer (elder dragon bones required)?
