It's rare to see someone with a hunting horn. I think it's the best support weapon. Once, a guy buffed me with infinite stamina and I had DS-> beast mode on
I thought you would say bow is the best support I hunted a bow guy and he paralyzed the plesioth two times and poisoned him. And what does a high paralyze value mean? Does it take fewer hits to paralyze or is the stun longer?
Thanks. I wish I could be as far along as most of you guys, but now that I'm back to work after my ACL surgery, my schedule just doesn't give me enough time. And when I do go hunting, those beasts are all over the map! Yeah, Hammer is good. I'm playing with that now and again, as well as the bowgun. I've been a SnS or GS kind of guy most of my gaming life, so I thought I'd try something different with the HH. It's quite fun! When I'm tired of looking for the monsters, I jam out on that thing!
Yep finally caught the Giadrome. As soon as he started running away I followed him and gave him one or two additional hits. That worked out. Guess I speak for every unexperienced MH that this Thread and you guys are awesome
Basically, each monster has a paralyze threshold on them. You have to deal that much paralyze damage to paralyze him. After the first paralysis, the paralyze threshold increases, so it would take more paralyze damage to inflict the second paralysis. Then the threshold increases on each succeeding status inflict. I believe the paralyze threshold caps at the 4th paralysis, so you'll just have to deal that much paralysis then to continue paralyzing the monster. The duration of the stun is determined by the monster you are fighting, and is always fixed for that monster. The bow is a safe way to paralyze monsters, but he can only bring a limited amount of para coatings. The SnS on the other hand, can paralyze monsters consistently all day long, as long as it keeps attacking. The paralyze SnS becomes pretty OP if the user brings traps and materials. After he inflicts paralysis, he can time it so that once the paralysis wears off, the monster gets trapped, letting him deal more paralysis damage for free. On the downside, paralysis SnS deals pitiful damage. This is where your team comes in. They will bring in the pain while the SnS supports the team by giving them free shots.
You wanna play? My room number will always be 11327 I always stay there so if u wanna link up and play just join and in chat just say your from touch arcade
I always ask in the MHF Unite chat from capcom for help. There are always nice and skilled people. What I really hate is, that only the host of an urgent gets ranked up
Looks like the lance got shoved down his throat lol. Heavnsix, I was playing lance early game and now I'm getting used to LS, the opposite haha.
I've done pretty good with my gun lance downing bosses on the elder quests till I hit a roadblock named plesioth... I can't figure this one out. A 3 star quest and I don't think I've inflicted any damage to it yet on 4 attempts lol... Any tips/strategies?
Block and poke. GS, lance and gunlance are good against him. Take barell bombs, because they do fire dmg and he's very weak to it. Watch out for his bodychekc, the hitbox is bigger than a transformer. Take sonic bombs and when he's in the water, throw it. Don't go for the head, he's weak in the stomach
I hate that monster with a passion. Some people said earlier that it's annoying when a Rathalos starts flying around, but for me there's nothing like a Cephadrome that doesn't want to go back to the surface!
You know guys I don't think people quit for no reason. There's connectivity issues. It's been there since the Japanese release. If the connection is bad, it'll kick everyone from your party. Doesn't matter if you're in the guild hall or midquest. It's also weird for anyone to quit midquest. It'd make more sense for them to just switch rooms without accepting your quest.
I was on a roll until I ran into the khezu urgent quest. I can get him to go into rage mode but by then I'm out if healing items and I end up getting killed. He's weak to fire I imagine?
^Yup... White Khezu is weak to fire, and later on, Red Khezu, he's weak to water. Khezu's pretty slow, but he hits hard. Dont get greedy with attacks, and you'll eventually get him. He's basically where you'll learn how to "punish and move out" which is what will get you really far into the world of MH Good luck hunting!
That's where I'm stuck too. I feel like I'm close to defeating him but I always end up running out of health before I can take him down.
Like a good neighbor state farm isn't there!!! How I feel every time I see RAJANG OR STATE FARM! [/URL]
Wow okay so I completely started the game from the start and I'm loving it the second time around! Thanks to the person who suggested the shortcut to gear with velociprey over giaprey, I feel like I'm making quicker progress now. Also for used to the camera lock on bosses.
