I know.. Unfortunately my brain doesn't work like that. I simply HAVE to do the one I'm on before I do the next. I can't explain it, it's odd
i am thinking of buying the game, and i am using iphone 4s.. please i need advice. is the game really that good? i watched the gameplay trailer.. it looks hard to control..
Don't give up man! Maybe Pscience or the others can show you how to beat it in mutipkayer or something? Or if you want wait till I get the chance to beat it myself and being a beginner at this like you I can show you how to beat it (hope I can haha)..
There's a 5 stars review, the thread has over 200 pages and everyone agreed that this is one of the best, if not the best, games iOS has to offer. If that's not enough for you, then IDK. There are items you only get by killing, some others by capturing and some others by breaking some parts of the monster.
I just tried killing him for the first time with a bowgun. Didn't go so well. I didn't fail because of him though, I just ran out of time. Which weapon would you suggest using for the first Kut-Ku and should I use something to draw him back down from the skies?
He's pretty easy with a bowgun actually. But you need to aim shots at the head. Use Normal 2 and Ice Shots. Since Ice shots pierce, you'll need to try shoot the head through to the tail to maximize the damage dealt. You'll only run out of time if you arent placing your shots at the head. Kut Ku's slow enough for you to fire 2 shots on the head normally on most openings before you need to roll away.
Long Sword as it's the only weapon that I really got to grips with. Ranged weapons are just too hard as I miss with 90% of my shots unless I'm up close and things like the hammer! I just end up missing a lot. I used the LS for every quest up to now.
Cool... If you think hitting the head is pretty risky with the LS, try aiming for the wings instead. Kut Ku's weak in the wings too, just not as weak as he is in the head. You can put in 2 to 3 hits after he attacks and misses you (of course you'll have to avoid them ). My guess is, you try attacking with a full set of combos which gets you counter attacked. Try to limit yourself to 1 to 3 attacks whenever Kut Ku misses his attacks, then get out. When he is in rage mode (smoke coming out from his nose/mouth), try not attacking, or limit yourself to 1 attack, coz he moves a bit faster with his turning, and he does his insta-charge a lot more during rage mode. Good luck if you ever want to dive into the Kut Ku mission again. Just remember to avoid his attacks, and counter attack... But dont get greedy with more than a few hits!
Finally got the full set of obituary armor. I had everything except for Hercudromes and Great Ladybugs when I finished the 3 star quests (and the urgent). Hercudromes were very easy to farm, Great Ladybugs were a nightmare. Because there's only a 2% chance of finding them in the first upgrade of the insect thicket I had to repeatedly go on gathering quests and turn them in immediately so I could get back to the farm and try again. I got my first 2 prett quickly, but the 3rd one took forever. Must've taken me hours, and when I finally got it I got two in a row, which was odd. Regardless, I now have my first armor set with Evade +2. The resistances to fire, thunder, and dragon will be great for taking on wyverns, and the bonus to gathering is pretty nice. Considering killing the red khezu to make the red variant of his armor, since it looks cooler than my standard khezu armor that I made for multiplayer hunts (wide area +1 means I can heal other people and give them buffs).
iPhone 4S here and the game plays quite smooth (no noticeable framerate drops) and without crashes. The device gets a bit hot though.
Well I'm a newbie at this game as well. I've beat him with sword and shield though. Try hitting him on the sides, specially the wings which is the weak spot. His elemental weaknesses are water or ice so having those kind of weapons help. Do not stand in front of him, dodge roll on the sides. Hit him with a quick combo or a solid strike and push on that dodge button immediately because he's going to counter attack. Just keep on hitting and rolling. Use a shock trap and sonic bombs to stun him also but set it up on a distance and when he's doing a long combo attack so that you'll have time. The key is flanking the sides and constant movement. Dodge first, strike later.
Yeah, never go for the head until he either sqwaks or tries to bite you or your felyne. Those are the perfect openings for a head attack if you are trying to get the Kut-Ku Ear and/or the Giant Beak.
