I'm off guys, wish me luck.. If I beat kut kut or whatever his name I'll post a screen shot here and then go celebrate
Used 10 megapotions, 9 potions (the supply items), 10 rations, 1 megajuice, 4 cool drinks, 3 herbs, 2 power seeds, 2 armor seeds, 2 traps and spent more than 25 min: And I forgot to say that I didn't die
Use a paintball (they're in the item boxes) to track them when they flee. Though it wears off after a while (it isn't permanent). -- Great job Varo! I died once when I finally took him down. I want to go at him again to get my last item but I'm too afraid lol. I feel like me beating him last time was luck..
Longswords also do a decent job on him. If you want to do face destruction, do a few quick blows on him to build up the gauge and then go into town on his face with the charge attack on the many openings when he either stops to squawk or try to bite you. I've broken his ears many times that way. Destroying that tiny stub of a tail that he spins constantly, now that's a real challenge.
What do you mean? @Exact Hammer is a good weapon but not for blangonga. Kut-Ku: Don't attack the back because there's too much armor. Fight with a hammer. When the Kut attacked your felyne, it will turn twice and attack you. Thats your attack gap. When he fires his fireballs, stay close to him, watch out for the wyvern turn. (Every wyvern in the game does this). That's a 180 turn twice. Sometimes he makes a wyvern gurr ( how is it called?). That's a big attack window. For experienced hammer users: Try to hit with the last hit of the triple pound ( called golf swing) when he lands or makes the wyvern turn. For less experienced users: Golfswing makes more dmg than the superpound ( charged hammer attack) but when you are charging you can't be blown away by the wind. That's very useful. Run around with a charged hammer and hit with the superpound, roll away and run. When you're charging but can't reach the monster, swipe up with your right finger to roll. Alway hit the head and when his ears changed their position, it means he's low life.
The dual tigrex quest was the reason why i gave up this game on the PSP. Now with multiplayer, I hope to hunt a lot of tigrexes down
To all noobies out there-when boss has low health he will start limping and will try to run away=you are able to capture him or finish him off in few strikes.
I'm on the 2 star urgent quest from the chief where you have to beat Kheza and I'm getting pwned. Using a hammer (iron striker w green sharpness) and everything is bouncing off. I can't upgrade my weapon without going to the volcano zone which I don't have access to yet. Am I using the wrong weapon or do I need to buy another. Help please!
Hammer's superpound never bounces. Full charge, and let go without moving the vstick. You can safely superpound the legs as it has very low stagger limit. Get ready when you trip him... You have an opening for one triple pound on the head when you trip him.
Just to add my voice to the chorus of praise - I've owned a couple of Monster Hunter games over the years but never really got anywhere with them. This is the first I've had the system for and the free time to give it and yeah, it might be an old game but it is an absolutely terrific little port, isn't it? Not really got anywhere significant - sunk maybe 12 hours in, killed a couple of the early bosses both solo and stumbling around co-op with a friend, and I'm not that far past just running around whaling on things and dying horribly. But it's still so, so, so much fun. Probably not going to convert a whole lot of people who didn't already like this sort of game but it's a fantastic release all the same, and more than worth the premium price IMO.
^ I've never had MH just because I've never had a system that could play it. I think it's the most amazing thing ever that they release it for iOS since so many people have iphones, ipods, or ipads carrying around with them. I love having MH on my ipod so I can just pull it right out of my pocket and play this awesomeness. It'll be even better once the iphone6 comes out with a bigger screen.
Gosh I feel likes little kid again, but could someone explain Pokke Points for me? And is there a similar sytem in MH3?
