For those who dont know it: Try to upgrade low rank weapons, because the material costs are much lower (about 50%). Save before upgrading and then after, close the app without saving. Swords are upgradable to dual swords, greatswords can become longswords, hammer to hunting horn and lances to gunlances

Then I assume some armour has 3-4-5 slots as I don't have 10 pieces of equipped armour.

 

Max is 3 slots on an armor piece. It is 10, because one armor piece can already have some of the points. The gems are there to add point to activate the skill even if you dont have the full armor set yet.

Some skills get activated at 15 and some even at 20.

Is there any samurai-like armor set to go with a LS?

 

Rajang X and Lao Armor i think. There's also 2 ninja-looking armors.

 

Is it better to master one weapon type or have a few that you can switch back and forth between? I feel like I've passed a turning point today in my mastery of the long sword, but I also just made a new hammer which I'm dying to try out. We'll see if I can take out blongaga with my LS finally. Then we'll see...

 

Usually better to keep a handful, since there are some monsters that are better suited for specific weapons.

Master multiple weapons. A rathian with a hammer is MUCH easier than with ls

 

There are also gems who occupie 2 slots but give you +3 in skill

 

I think Lao Shan armor's decent.

 

Guys is it good if I will use +50 hp skill for blangonga?I will attach +2 hp gems to 3/5 of my hermitaur armor and 2/5 hi metal armor so I will get +50 hp skill and is it good to mix armor and gems?Like I need +10 def and +10 ear protection and I use...dunno...2/3 hermitaur armor with def gems and 3/5 tigrex armor with ear protection gems.

 

I was looking for something similar to the Yukumo Armor from MHP3rd.

Also, STUPID TIGREX. Once he's enraged I can't do shit, just wait till he goes back to normal. I spent 25 min without dying and only managed to hit some lvl 3, got tired of him, went nuts and died.

I'm starting to hate this game.

There's a higher rank version though.

 

Im making a video right now... might as well be Tigrex using a GS so i can show you what to do.

I'll be using a high rank weapon against a high rank tigrex.

EDIT: I just did the video, i died before tigrex was gonna die. So i just saved the video and im going to upload lol.

At least it would show you how to fight tigrex. I hope you can find it helpful. I'll let you know when it's up.

 

Aaand blangonga did definitely kill me again. My new found long sword skills were no match for him. I even caught him with a full spirit combo right off te bat once I had him trapped. Gonna give the hammer a shot now

Hey EP, Is the upgrade for Eager Cleaver a long ways away? Since I'm "stuck" I can't get any new enemies or locations. I need Kirin tail I believe and thunder bug juice which I heard is rare. I've been using the Cleaver over the Tigrex Tooth since it seems more effective but I haven't gotten a new weapon in forever. Maybe I do need the raise HR and kill the Tigrex to get anywhere. Damn Tigrex.
