I'm doing the Jungle gathering quest over and over in the hope of mining the 2 Disk Stone I need for my armour. I was just there now and found a yellow gathering '?' Icon. I tried to dig it up 7-8 times but always got 'nothing found'. What is the yellow icon?
I think so. Haven't seen it on iOS yet myself. The PSP and Vita versions only have local multiplayer, but you can use a PS3 with wired network access as a relay. Similar to how MH3U on 3DS can use a Wii U as a relay. You found the spot where the black cats hide stuff they steal from you.
I can't even make sense of how it's possible to even beat the first "boss". The very first quest....the very first...I cannot beat it. I'm using a hammer and he just jumps all around the place and then runs into a new zone to reset his health... What am I doing wrong? Wrong weapon choice?
If you managed to make it run away, you were just a few hits from defeating it. vs the Giadrome I always found the duals and s&s to be the best since they give you better mobility, but you can't go wrong with any. All you have to do is punishing his jumps. He takes a bit of time to turn around and only attacks you if you are in front of him, and while you're punishing him because of the distance traveled when attacking you should already be out of range. Sometimes he jumps backwards after the jump attack though. Also, guild quest or elder quest? Because the guild quests, even though they give you more items at the start, are more difficult than the other ones (monsters have higher HP and such).
What do you guys think?Shall I get the gunnery king for my character?I will get as many howitzer jewels for my char as I can and will attach them to my 3/5 hermitaur armor,1/5 rathalos and 1/5 hi-metal armor so I will finally get the gunnery king skill so it will increase my gunlance's shell damage. But the problem is that I will loose about 24 defense because I will loose my hermitaur armor bonus skill. So should I get the gunnery king or not?
For a Gunlance? Most definitely. Eventually, you'll learn how to move around without taking too much damage, and MH will be Offense>Defense. The GL's guard is pretty OP with even just Guard+1, and is pretty OP with Guard+2 and Guard Inc (G-rank Gravios armor). Any Defense+ skills will be overshadowed by these skills on GL. Generally, the only defensive skills really worth having later on are the utility ones like Quake Resist, Wind Resist, Evade+, Evade Inc, Earplugs/HGE, Guard+ and Guard Inc. The other Status Resist skills are too situational (same with Wind and Quake Res), but are needed a lot less since there are monsters which Wind and Quake Res help immensely (Quake: Rajang, Blangonga, Conga, Shen Gaoren, etc; Wind: Lao Shan Lung, Diablos, Monoblos, etc)
Hard work payin off... Barrage Piercing online!!! Time to rock Akantor Bow! Need one more hard rajang horn to complete my gunner rajang set
Two days of dying. ...uhh, working! and I completed my Giaprey set Now to attempt the Bulldrome quest again! Edit: oh noooo. . I don't have enough money to pay for the quest, damn!
Click the boss icon on left and it will give you a red bullseye... You can the click the screen and it will center to boss. Only on bosses though
Barrage Piercing. Head gear that gives Capacity+10 and activates Capacity Up, which adds 1 more charge level to Bows and adds +1 bullet capacity to Bowguns. For the Akantor Bow, it unlocks the very powerful Rapid Shot lv5. The Rajang Gunner Set provides fast charging, and Rapid Shot Damage Up. So Rajang set+Barrage Piercing with the Akantor Bow ends up being one of the best all-around Bow setups in the entire game. You get Barrage Piercing by completing all Battle Training missions with all weapons (50 missions overall).
That's still quite a long way for me. Also I can't decide between focusing on elder's quests or guild's :/
Since online is very accessible on the iOS version, i suggest going for the Guild hall first, and rank up asap. Farming will be easy once you are in multiplayer, as long as you can avoid getting killed. I have seen lots of rooms posted in the Unite chatroom that focus on farming certain monsters over and over, and these are usually very useful armor sets they are going for. Once you have high-rank equips, you should be able to rush through elder quests on your own, then Nekoht's quests are about same as High Rank Quests in the guild hall, but with a lower bit of health.
I'm trying the elder quests and just with the shogun set I finish them in no time. I'll try to get to higher HR's then.
