Anyway, I got a little tidbit for starting players. If you plan on getting Giaprey Armor as your starting armor, skip it, and farm 3 star Hunters Guild slay 20 Velociprey quests for the Velociprey Armor. Fighting Velociprey is no different then fighting Giaprey. Best of all, you only need to kill one Velocidrome for the whole set, just for a Velocidrome Hide. All that work gives you an extra 4 defense boost per piece over the Giaprey Armor, enough to go a decent way through the Village Elder's quests.

 

Guess what?I beat congalala and he was not that bad.

 

He's bad if you depend on your healing items too much. Otherwise, if you stay on his sides, yeah, he's not that bad.

Congalala's A LOT easier than Blangonga.

Tactically, he's a lot easier. But he has IMO one of the worst status effects in the entire game.

 

I hope Capcom fixes MP soon.

So how do I beat blangonga solo?I am using a hammer with over 500 dmg and about 300 fire dmg but I still take a lot of damage even with full Hermitaur set.I CAN farm other bosses in the multiplayer if needed for a better armor but I wanna get tails and fangs for my gunlance upgrade first.Should I take Felynes?Maybe use traps more often?Maybe use poisoned meat and bombs?

 

I just got the chance to hire some help, so I paid 1000 to get this cat, which was great in my first quest, it helped me and even collected stuff! Great

and then I was just in a battle with 2 of the small raptor like beasts in the jungle map and my cat killed me

He was throwing bombs around and one landed on me when my health was low. Haha, took me 5 mins to stop laughing

 

Just letting you know that the figures shown in the game for the weapon's attack power is NOT the damage it deals. It is the figure used into the multiplier to calculate the damage dealt.

 

Look for safe openings. Fire damage on his face will eventually break his fangs, which would render his roars useless.

Which of his attacks are hitting you? You really need to be able to avoid getting hit much if you want to take him on.

 

Can people join a mission that already started?

 

No. You have to wait for them to return to the lobby.

 

Nope... If they join you in your room while you are in a mission your name will be grayed out to them. They can go to missions on their own, or they can wait til you get back from your mission so you can go together.

 

Lock only available on boss monsters.
