I don't have those exact devices, but I tried some guild hunts on my iPhone 4S and I'm mainly playing on my iPad 4. It's completely smooth on both, and I haven't heard anyone say anything different about iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. The controls benefit from a larger screen. You have more room, touching menu entries or items directly is easier, the camera is more precise etc. Personally I'd choose the iPad Mini if it's always going to be available when you want to play. That said, the 4S has a tiny 3.5" screen and I had no trouble playing on that, I just think it's more comfortable on larger devices. You can copy save files using third party software (e.g. iFunBox) so you can move from one device to the other. Not convenient, but it's possible. Btw., power seeds are a good cash crop for the early game since each seed sells for 140z IIRC. But if you're going to fertilize as well (with worms if you have nothing else), it starts to look like work...
Yep next is... Kushla, ratholos, and guardian armor! No matter how much I enjoy this game, I realllly hope they bring mh3p or whatever it is called for the psp to ios.
I'm currently rocking the 4S. Real estate is cramp but you get adjusted. I do get finger slip ups on the controls, especially with a case bezel but no showstoppers. Would LOVE to have cloud saves transfer over to the iPad. That said, if you play often on the go.... go with the iPhone. If the small screen gets too frustrating and can't get used to controls, stick with the iPad mini.
^Woh Mene! You NEED the farm running coz you get tons of materials from there every after successful mission!
Thanks. I'm about to start a new semester of university in a few weeks but think I'll go for the Mini (as I'll carry my charger around anyway in case my phone needs it during the day). I'll use iFunBox from time to time. Is there any chance of them adding cloud saves? Seems to be a game you don't exactly play for two minutes at a time though. So having ultra portability by playing it on your phone doesn't make sense IMO. The small screen would bug me for this type of gameplay anyway.
I agree with this sentiment. Like I said before, I have an iPad 4 and an iPod Touch 5G, and you are definitely going to want to play this game on an iPad, at least on an iPad Mini. It can be played on a 3.5" or 4" screen, but it takes a little getting used to the smaller buttons.
I've played it on both my iPad Mini Retina and iPhone 5. Runs smooth on the 5 and as far as I know it will also run smooth on iPad Mini (1st gen I guess?). The games controls are as they were made for the Mini. I tried to get to them on my iPhone 5 but it was such a pain. It's so tiny and there isn't even much space to swipe the camera which can be troublesome. I would suggest you to play it on your iPad even if that means playing it in low resolution.
That is definitely true. I was mid-mission and exited the app. Seems that after some time, the game closes so any mission progress is lost. Though it's not as bad as it sounds; likely you'll have an idea of what you're getting into prior to starting a lengthy or short mission.
How do you access the farm? And also kill the giant ape monster in the 1 star jungle quest? Does he have a weak spot? I'm hitting him in the back quite a bit and he's not dying
Farm's always available after you have talked to the elder and you are allowed to start take quests. Farm's a little to the right of the guy located at the bottom-most part of town. I think you need to talk to that guy too.
Right now the rage completely filled my body.I can barely type this without cussing about thousand...times.HOW THE FU ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO KILL BLANGONGA SOLO?!!?!I need the god damn tails in order to upgrade my gunlance but that bastard deals too much damage to me,I am using full Hermitaur armor and a strong fire hammer and it still does not work!!I can do other bosses but not this goddamn piece of shi*.I tried dodging,he is too fast, his f***ing little apes are also annoying.I feel like I need a better armor but I cannot find one yet.I killed a lot of wyverns but their armor still sucks for defense.Maybe I should use Felynes?
Use a great sword until you get better armor. Buster/ravenger blade can take it out in less then 10 mins easy.
I suck at using great swords, hammer seems easier to me,well I deal dmg quickly with hammer but the bastard takes too much of my hp that I cannot even concentrate on attacking him but on using potions.
I'm not that far, but would he go for bait, such as drugged meat (sleep herb + raw meat, per the wiki)? Once he consumes and zonks out, plant a couple large barrel bombs in front and detonate. Damage to sleeping enemies gets tripled if I recall correctly. With the large barrel bombs it should take a nice chunk of health off. Of course, this is assuming he's a monster type that'd go for the bait.
