I must confess, after preparing very hard for the first boss (I'm fully decked in Giaprey armor except the chest area as that required the Giadrome part and using a Bull Hammer) and also having my level 4 felyne sidekick who can kill Giapreys on his own now, I had an easy time defeating it on my first try. Moving on to the next ones!
I think I see the problem, you bought the leather armor? A lot more defense with Giaprey armor set and its easy to craft, check it out.
I read a thread on sinful with people installing both the infinite item hack, and the item inventory hack and being banned from online play, so I would be careful.
I actually went straight to Velociprey armor for my first armor. Fighting them is no different than fighting Giaprey, only they hop around like kangaroos loaded with sugar and caffeine. You just have to alter you evasion strategy a little differently.

I'm having trouble using the chat to find people above HR2 to play with. I'm specifically looking for HR3+ players to help with the Shen Gaoren Urgent. Where are you guys finding decent players/communicating with them? If anyone does have the time and sees this, my in-game name is "Razzle" and I'll be in 7979 throughout the day and night periodically.
